Do you think Pristine Dental in Mid Valley offer Damon 3,In-Ovation C and the other bracket systems?

If they dont,then i think ill go to Dr. How's,ive been reading alot of good stuff about him,that kinda tempted me to switch orthos.

If anyone is under pristine,can u please comment on this?

which ortho do u think i should go to?

Owh and uh,if anybody would kindly please tell me the location of Dr.How's in Bangsar Baru.Cuz im not from Semenanjung,im originally from Sabah but im Studying here ...told my friend about it,but she doesnt seem to know where it is.Tried the map thing on How's website,bt couldnt open it...haiz..

haha...studies have been sooo busy,i didnt have the time to post-up the huge decision announcement.
I finally emBRACEd myself..haha i got them on 18th of Sept 08.Dr.Hows...i am on Clippy-C/In-Ovation C brackets braces.So far so good..Total cost is RM6,500.

it has been a week since i had my braces on..

the first three days was hell for me,i cant chew..huhuhuh i was swallowing stuff,and when i accidently clench my teeth,ill get that JOLT feeling haha...it doesnt exactly hurt,but enough to cause me to freeze with my eyes wide open.haha..and my hands would always be covering my mouth...thank god for painkillers.
but overall,its not the oh-my-gosh-what-an-execution kinda pain and suffering haha,still can stand them(maybe cuz its not the traditional metal ones?)

Talkin wasnt awkward or hard,but the 'full mouth' feeling and the brackets frictioning on my inner lips is really awkward,its like stuffing an orange slice(with the skin) in my mouth and capping them on my teeth kinda feeling.Im starting to get ulcers,bt trying my darnest to avoid them.Its weird how comfortable the ceramic brackets are compared to the metal ones far behind,huhuhuh.

Knowing theyre almost unnoticeable in a certain distance,facing the public wasnt a huge prob as i thought it would be.But i was kinda scared haha...my friend was like "naahh,its not as bad as we thought it would turn out to be".

Yesterday i started being able to chew and that "sudden pressure" feeling is now gone.You know,that feeling where u felt like theres somthing pushing ur teeth all the time,its almost gone now.Im still trying to chew properly tho,cuz although im chewing,it wasnt properly chewing.But i had KFC chicken today and my friend was shocked to see me be able to finish it all up! hahaha..

Next appointment is on the 16th of next month.Cant wait to start seeing the teeth move.haha i know i know..too early,but i dont know,just happy i finally got to fix this problem haha..When do u start seeing changes? hehe jst curious.Dr.How was really nice and friendly.But i am under the care of Dr.Yong,bt Dr.How does check on me.huhuh

OWH I forgot to mention i bit on a bracket accidently on the first night i got them HAHAHAHHAHAHAH...it came off the tooth!.i got it fixed now tho.haha Dr.How fixed it..i went to fix it on my third day with braces.

i have a couple of Q's...how to like heal the ulcers? any tips or tricks ?theyre getting deeper.and without dental wax(which was heaven sent) im constantly in a very uncomfortable state.I tried not having to rely on them,but i just couldnt last 5 mins without them.Owh and concerning the electric brush thingy,is it okay to buy any type of electric brush or theres like a special 'orthodontic electric toothbrush'? The one at Dr.Hows was about rm200++,i saw one in Watson's around Rm25.88 ...which to buy?

p/s: Dr Suggested a bitestop for me at one point cuz he said that one of my teeth,when i bite,is biting on a bracket..but i really2 begged him not to.hahaha.but its okay now...and he suggested the screws that ken got,i was like "WHOA!"...he sez we'll see in the middle of the treatment whether i need them or not.and yes,he suggested extractions too...hes giving me 4 months to see how my teeth move,then itll be decided...

So hope my braces will come off before JUly 2010..ill graduating then! haha

Nikki,dats a very very good idea.I Got my braces the next day after i went for consultation.Cuz i dont have enuff convenience to get from cyberjaya to bangsar back and forth often.So i missed out alot of good food that im surely goin to miss (like three days ago i felt like eating chocolate but i stopped my self T.T ..bt who cares,i want to lose weight! haha) So eat eat and eat!! haha

Aiight,just call me Ronnie btw. hehe Baby_Boi's jst a nick.Im feeling pretty good now,either my teeth moved a little,or i am used to the pressure feeling.Chewing still is accompanied with a little bit of Aching on the teeths far behind.But i can eat alot of stuff now,but i have to have them in pieces. hehe but overall.im okay now,jst dealing with the ulcers,and getting use to food stuck in my braces..grrr.When i clench,my teeth felt loose and jelly like haha.

My treatment period,is estimated to be around 1.5 yrs. Hope itll be faster than that. huhuh Fingers Crossed.My teeth condition.I dont know how to describe it.I Have some pictures here of me,wayy before the braces.And with the braces on. ..Even in the pics with braces,u can see my teeth before treatment,cuz i just got my braces for 1 week++ haha..

Ist and 2nd pics are with braces,the third one is a week before braces.u can see the upper teeth only huhuh,but the lower ones are major too..protruding and sum r overlapping bt slighty (jst like the upper ones) But that one buck tooth(upper teeth)is seriously pissing me off.But i still can close my lips tho,so it isnt too bucky hahaha..

Owh and uh Ken,u hv the screws rite? can u tell me all about them? what to expect,how they r,how they r placed etc etc..im scared of getting them (two reasons,the PAIN and the COST)

that lady that posts the blog,sez that her ortho didnt perform extraction on her,but instead,filed specific teeths to allow all to fit.This is very good..wonder if dr can do this on me instead.Whatchu guys think?

Hey Nikki.Now u make sure u post the very same day u get "BRACED" hehehe..wow..Im totally against the idea of extractions u know.I Mean,im losing 4 healthy teeth,dts such a big concern.Since im still in my 4 Months trial period,to see how my teeth move,i still hv time whether to decide on Both Extraction and the Screws.(He suggested two screws for upper and two screws for lower btw.)

For the extraction part,he suggested my bicuspids (2 from upper,2 from lower) and my Wisdoms.(Upper and lower) ... But he was sort of in doubt himself during the consultation,he sez i might need or might not need extraction.Its up to how many teeth can be contained in my jaw.Bt i seriously pray to god that i dont have to extract any tho.The screws,Dr ensured they dont hurt that bad,bt he sez the painful part is for your wallet,its expensive per screw.

Now the ulcers..well guess what,i dont really need them Dental Wax anymore!!! cuz i think my cheeks have 'toughened' up.But im sure after my first adjustment (16th oct) wires will start poking and the dental wax will come in handy once more.huhuhu.Just follow what ken said (excluding less talking+laughing,cuz i cant get fun outta my system,AT ALL hahaha),i applied bonjela often,and cover the brackets with dental wax.

In a way im glad getting braces,and wish that they hurt MORE.Cuz itll totally stop me from eatin,which will result in weightloss! haha..i know its crazy.but yea..huhuhuhuhuh...Well Nikki,yea,lets keep updating each other heheh..i dont know who will finish first,but whatever or whenever it is,i wish both of us Best,Satisfying results in the end

Yea tho,filling can thin up the enamel surface,but im sure the dentist didnt file it up to 'that' point.That'll make the teeth freaking sensitive to stuff! haha..but then again,yea ill try asking Dr How,but i really really pray i dont need extractions.I Dont want a narrow smile. T.T

Owh and okay,ive been in them for weeks,but at times i still get bracket scratches on my inner lip,like they got irritated for no reason,i end having to rely on the dental wax again,is this normal? i have one ulcer cuz of that ad im covering the others with dental wax cuz i dont want more..

im really,really excited to see changes...cant wait for the coming months.i guess u start loving them braces when you see change hahahha..

still the freakin internet problem isnt done yet..so here i am...writing with my freaking friends laptop,goin online in starbux..this suck big time..

Anyways..
i went for my first appointment last thursday...so its been a week now..1 Month and 1 Week in Braces!
heres the good part..I SEE MOVEMENT!! MUhahahahha god i love my braces now.
And during the appoinment,i didnt get my wire changed,but instead.i got powerchains!!
Dr said that he wanted to focus on pushing my potruding teeth inwards nowand my next appoinment is next month.huhuhuh.

i only got powerchains on my uppers tho,the bottoms are untouched.
And and just two days after getting them,i accidently ate Nasi Lemak (it was freakin irresistable T.T) . The next thing i know,my powerchains stained.but its subtle.i kina regret having what i had.I Tried brushing almost 3 times but its still there.SIGH..

but it wasnt that obvious tho..huhuh...
before the appoinment,i got like a ulcer-massacre in my mouth.i guess its cuz the teeth moved.

last night,another accident happened,i ate sumthing with a bit of curry poweder in it
and now,my powerchains are light yellowish green!!

but,i guess bcz of the movement i see,i dont really mind it stained,nov 13th(my 2nd appointment) isnt too far away from now anyway.
owh and here i am again,in college using my friends lappie..can things get any worst (first it was the internet,and then my laptop died,now what)

about the teeth dreams,i had them alot too..but they were wayy scarier...theyre like,theres one dream i remember,in the dream,dr was taking my wire off,and my teeth all fell off jst like that!!! ...i guess everyone had these dreams,cuz the braces were in our heads the whole time you know.

Speaking of the movement,my bottoms are kinda stubborn,no movement yet.huhuhuhu cant wait!!

anyways,the glue will stain,mine stain,and i dont brush after meals,i just gargle water and spit out.But then,after brushing before sleep,they'll be okay again.You have to brush twice a day.

Nikki,ur teeth feels loose now rite? chill,its just been 3 weeks,there'll be movement.the next thing you know,they'll be shifting!

been busy with final assingments...im in my final weeks of semester now.

Got updates for ya...
my 2nd appointment will be on thursday next week.

The latest updates are that 2 weeks ago..
on tuesday i think (i remember that time,im officially 1 month and 1 weeks in braces)
a day before that,i ate this one type of keropok where the shape is curved.So i was craving for it,and was munching it..it was yummy tho hahha...then i had like concerns for my braces,bt then i guess nothing will happen cuz its not the first time i ate keropok..but its been awhile thats for sure.

then i used my tongue to touch the braces,jst to check if everythings okay.then sumthings loose.my last molar,on my bottoms,the very last bracket,the one that holds the wire far behind.Well the wire popped out of the bracket,and its pointing out ..i was soooooo shocked,i panicked..i called my friend and decided to have an appointment on tuesday (this happend on sunday)

then on monday,i found out,that its not the one on the left only,but BOTH sides of the last bracket had the wire popped out.so i panicked even more.but it didnt poke or anything,its jst that its annoying.Cuz its loose in a way.and its bugging.but then i called the dental and arranged an appoinment.

On the appointment day,doctor checked my teeth.And he decided to change my wire,he gave me a slightly thicker wire for my bottoms.So total,my uppers have the same wire,and powerchains.And my bottoms have got a wire change,a slightly thicker one.

Phew,appointment is next week..cant wait..theres alot of space that was wasnt there before,i notice them when i floss,when i slid the floss in the middle,theyre not that "tight" anymore...i know for the 2nd,month my teeth moved alot.And my protruding teeth,is going inwards now.my smile looks different,and the bucktooth in the front is moving in slowly,cuz theres enuff space now.

phew...its been a while...i see we get new members in there bracerians club!
my next appointment is next thursday..itll be three months!! and im loving the results.

On my 2nd appointment last month,dr changed by upper wire to a damn thick one,no major pain,but the tight feeling is back.
He said my bottoms move real slow,so he slipped thru 5 seperators,that wasnt a pain,but the feeling of having 'food stuck in between ur teeth' the whole time is annoying.But i got over it haha..he wanted to change my bottom wire too,but he sez that that will hurt me like hell cuz theyre not ready.

Ive had these for almost a month now (3 weeks ++) major movements,i notice them especially when i floss,the spaces between each ther get tighter.Especially the uppers and theyre straighter than before now.Dr sez that he wont change my upper wire for another 2/3 months.The bottoms might get the seperators removed and wire changed.He sez that this coming 2 - 3 months will be "honeymoon" month before he puts me back in pain..GULP.

Im happy with them,for 3 months now,theyre like apart of my daily life.The routine i do every single day,haha i just cant wait to see my teeth go straighter and straighter.i notice changes on my facial esthetics.they differ than before..

Whoa...been awhile since i added an update.haha many things goin on at the same time.

After my last visit (on the 23rd of march) im officially braced for 6 months
Im really2 happy with the progress,looked at sum pixies and videos that my friends took with me in them,changes are Noticeable and very Obvious.

I got implants,2 gold screws on each side,far back of my uppers.
Got them last month,didnt hurt a bit,jst annoying,cuz i wasnt used to the idea of it being there,but then after 3 weeks,i dont feel them anymore.They scratch on the first week,but i have the good ol dental wax+bonjela helping me out.

During my last visit,dr was supposed to install the thing that is connected to the screws,making them as anchors,connecting them to my fronts/sides,bt then he had this very important flight so he just changed the wires for my bottoms.But will do install next visit.
The reason why i have to get the screws,according to dr how,is bcz theres no more space at the back to push my teeth further in,its still slightly protruding now but dr said for best results,i should get the screws,so i think since im getting braces,why not get a perfect set instead of jst 'my teeth are FINE' u knw what i mean.

i asked him during my last last visit (which was the visit where i got the screws hahaha) according to the state and condition of my treatment,when will i estimately be taking them off,he said if everything will go well according to plan,itll be somewhere end of this year bt thats jst a prediction,u never know,but still,im happy its still going to be before i graduate,and plus,i had no extractions. So yea..haha so far so good.

Had a 'premature' braces appointment today..
was supposed to be on the 28th,but since im rushin home to sabah soon..i figured id do it,rather than taking chances on missing it.

Was rebonding a bracket that got loose and repositioned one (which kinda hurt)
So i got a bad news from doc...
Whether i want to or not...i HAVE to extract 4 teeth...
for optimum results..he sez that my teeth are not protruding anymore,but in order to achive full 'perfect' results...i have to

im totally against the idea of 'pulling Healthy teeth' out.And am totally scared of looking like i have 'less teeth' when i smile.
He sez that if i dont extract,the change on my facial esthetics wont be too noticeable,but with extraction followed by the rest of the required treatment,itll change me to that 'flat side profile'..

But then again,i got braces,why not go for a 'perfect' smile instead of staying safe?

So i extracted 4 tooth,and now im focusing on closing the gaps..im on elastics now.
im telling u,theres been a HUGE change to my facial structure..especially the lower parts..
i recently uploaded new pix to my facebook and my mom saw them,she sort of noticed how my mouth area changed..its rather smaller now but i love it,it doesnt look like last time. and im totally excited on seeing the final outcome..i know im still quite far,but its getting really exciting that idont mind anymore..hahaha


doctor how sed id be done in six to nine months..hopefully i make it before graduation next july!!

But i have one huge prob tho...two of my front lower brackets kept detaching from the teeth..doctor how has fixed it 3 times and they still pop off..first of all its not my fault..cuz after every session i dont eat,just in case me eating might have been the cause..but the last time i went to get it fixed,on my way home they pop off again! was soo shocked.

I Cant afford going to and fro from cyberjaya to bangsar often so this is kinda frustrating..and i can tell dr how is kinda frustrated by it too..u think this might obstruct my progress? has this happen to anyone before? or am i all alone? somehow i think he shud change the brackets but he has never done that..its been fixed three times and all three times they pop off

i downgraded to a thinner wire,and he moved the positions jst in case i was biting on them..he even said that if i still bite on them i might get that thing that blocks u from chewing..what do u call it again??? arrghh..

i came back from my app for this month today from doctor how. So remember the 2 brackets that kept popping off? well finally doctor how decided to put bite stopper on Me...

But its not that bad,cuz i have to do some speech for my college,i asked him if he can not make too thick. So its not that thick now and my speech isnt really affected thank god.But its weird everytime wanting to bite together that ur teeth dont meet.haha
Think that solved the popping bracket issue,cuz he claims that my uppers might be biting straight onto the brackets causing them to detach.Well guess what,they both POP OUT AGAIN.

If im counting correctly this might be the sixth or 5th time!!!! Im soooo frustrated right now cuz its about rm50 to pay for a can to go from cyberjaya to bangsar.This is absurd! as i can barely survive myself as a student!
What do u guys think? should i opt for bracket change? i mean of course he is the doctor and he certainly knows what to do,but i have a feeling its the brackets..they can get damaged/or lose its cementing capabilities right?? im calling the place tomorrow for an emergency walk in app,i might request for the bitestopper to be added in thickness and might as for bracket change [is that even possible?]

Im at wits end.its frustrating me cuz this would certainly lengthen my treatment time.And that is NOT good. Looks like i wont be debracing myself anytime near July

Owh and now since ive been using the rubber bands,he told me to quit them.Instead he used some kind of metal bands on my uppers to close my gap.For some reason i love the pressure on my teeth,i hate the feeling when he takes the wire off for a wire change.felt like they are going to fall off! haha


Anyways,tell me what u guys think. If you got experiences with any doctor.I just want to know. SIGH...
