planning to do braces too..
but just wondering do you guys take leave to do appointment since Dr How is not able in fri to sun? coz my leave is not that much..

today i just called up to Dr How and ask the price..
Wow the latest package for braces they have are 6k for metal clips and 7.5k for clear clips!!
But i just wonder is metal clips= damon / lotus? and the clear clips = innovative?
Metal clips is not traditional one rite?

just want to ask u guys with braces is it really in 2 years time (or duration wearing brcaes)you cannot eat hard food as usual?

And also will it inconvenient when traveling?i am planning to go korea this year sept.Wat i concern is i might not taste their food due to the braces..

i scared regret is becoz i might get nothing in this two years (or more) period. Dr said i need to go for jaw surgery if want perfect result.
But i choose not, so he will only try to save my teeth/jaw.

shenay, is ur's upper jaw midline does not match with lower jaw?

livon6699, i did remember i have ask dr how bout the jaw surgery, but i din ask who will do the surgery..Dr tell me the surgery might cost 5 figure for private or can go government and he will write letter for you..

mine one is not off a bit, is off a lot..

hihi, it's me..just have my lower braces installed.
my upper and lower braces was installed by dr raymond but not dr how.
dr raymond said next appointment only will with dr how. r u guys also like this?

bautan, dr won't gurantee ur jaw will move right or left until the midline is match.
i also not very sure how dr will save my jaw by using the 'mechanism of braces'..
As you can refer from front page, shenay also have same case with me.
And dr how told us same concept as braces will prevent my joints from being painful in future and it will slightly correct the jaw. In years to come, it will look better.
So i dun really put high hope on it coz i already know it won't 100% corrected. But yet i want to try even is 20%.
Worth or not worth, i think it depends on you, rite? Try to consult with different dr and u will know what to do.

i just wear braces for less than two weeks.nothing happen now.
my jaw was born to be like that.
why dun u consult dr?dun sit here and guess.

i just have my first adjustment. Dr how want my four teeth which will make my chubby face away. argh..
i still thinking wanna extract or not coz they are healthy teeth..

shenay, i am not extracting wisdom tooth, he want extract the 4th tooth start from middle (left, right, up, down). so total 4 healthy teeth.

livon6699, dr how said it just depend i wanna chubby face or not. With or without extraction also can allign my teeth pretty one..But he trying to change my face shape..

deadangel, i think jawline move is normal during treatment.
my fren's sister before treatment the midline is match but after braces take off, the midline is slightly not match. luckily is not that obvious.

my jawline also moving. but i should be happy gua coz before treatment my midline is not match.

i am still deciding want to extract or not since still have time until my next appointment.

deadangel, coz i have chubby face, so dr ask me to extract teeth to make my face slimmer.
dr said it depends on me. but i think i will maintain chubby face coz i scare to extract teeth ..hehe

sherelyn, it is normal that put braces first then only extract teeth.
DUring the treatment period, the progress will happen unexpected. Maybe dr foresee it should be enough space, that's y dr ask u install braces first and see..
