To be fair, I do feel that X-One is worth it if you are butterfinger enough to drop your phone, face down, multiple times, on rough surfaces (err yeah)... or are prone to sticking weird things straight into your screen by accident (yeah, don't ask).

In that case tempered glass would normally just do what tempered glass does, break into a million (laminated) pieces. And typical cheap thin plastic protectors would do what IT normally does... which is not much to protect your screen from impact.

But of course, plastic is plastic and dang if it doesn't scratch by just having me blow on lol. It's useful for impacts yes, but for scratches... you'd be better off treating it as a layer to BE scratched instead of your screen lol.
