QUOTE(richardss @ Oct 4 2018, 06:38 PM) good points. thanks. sorry to tell u, but the emoji is just the theme...3 things i'm wondering: 1) backup.. is it similar to icloud if i change my device, i can restore and it'll appear seamlessly? 2) can this phone take "live" photo or similar? 3) emoji haha this might be minor, not trolling but on older android i saw on my friend's phone it looks really ugly (like melting!). has this changed now? it the same code across ios/android/linux/microsoft. if u don't like it... luckily android allow u to change it... and I doubt ios can do the same. QUOTE(leinnz @ Oct 5 2018, 09:22 AM) there is cloud as well as external type-c storage. jfyi raw photo is basically useless for normal user.Shooting raw for milky way or moon. Whatever it is P20 is not good with Raw. it doesn't beautified the photo at all. basically raw photo hv a lot of color info, but it doesn't sharpen the photo nor reduce the iso noise. it is very useful only if u do the advanced photography editing. the post processing able to bring out all the hidden color, this is true if u know the real hdr which is better than phone camera hdr. haha I set my photo to 7mb, simply bcoz I hate 4:3 format. and it is good enuf... |

I personally took some pix during 8ζ15, the outcome is not even 50% like the promo video at all... there is 2 criteria, 1. able to see the dark spot on the moon 2. there is no glow light around the moon, only reflected light on the surface. |

I found a bug on p20 pro, 100% reproduceable.
FYI I always turn on my WiFi, Data, Bluetooth, Sync and GPS on all my phone , never stingy on the battery life... recently I notice my Data turn off by itself, it cost me unable to read the WhatsApp while I'm on the road... I'm wondering may it is due to the Wi-Fi+ settings, thru I disabled it... but the problem still persist. then one day while I'm was playing game, I noticed I hv very bad latency despite my WiFi strength is on good/excellent signal. I swiped down the notification to change the WiFi to Data internet. before I managed to do it, I to my surprised I saw the WiFi reseted the connection itself. pretty cool rite? but the problem is... it will reset the Data altogether but Data never comeback up after that. frustrated with that, I try to reproduce the problem, I noticed whenever I turnoff or turn on manually the WiFi, the Data will off by itself. on another note I never turn on data/battery saver or anything... does anyone here hv the same problem? or do u know any setting to stop the WiFi auto reset? or to stop the Data being turn off? QUOTE(Everdying @ Oct 7 2018, 03:46 PM) is p20 ur first huawei phone? yes, first HW phone.cos this is quite common even on other models, guess something to do with firmware and sharing chip. previously on Samsung and XiaoMi, both didn't hv this problem. did it happen to u when u turn on/off WiFi, it also turnoff ur data? at least tell me why the WiFi hv to reset itself when the latency is high or lost connection. and after it reset why the Data didn't turn back on. |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Oct 7 2018, 04:39 PM) wifi on, turn off wifi, but immediately on data...data will turn off... quite used to it... so i normally just wait 1-2 secs after turning off one before turning on the other. WiFi reset... the WiFi module restarted. turn off then turn on. and wat do u mean wifi reset? sometime the module didn't turn off, but wifi lost connection... the Data module will turn off as well. I only wish for it to stay On all the time. |
