I got PDAir case as well, right after I bought my kaiser on october. In fact, it's less than rm100 (USD28) as they are having their anniversary now with free shipment. DOML selling it at a much higher price.

I think that should be considered as hard case, but anyway, it's same as the one sold in doml.

If you want a more accurate map, get malsing, google for it and you will know how to get their latest. Slow refresh rate can be dealth with the latest R12 patch. I don't use Mapking R12, can't comment with the performance.

Now I wanna ask you guys something... how much is a car mount for Tytn II considering if you wanna use GPS while driving. What's a good brand and where can I find one?
*
There are a lot of choices out there, for suction cup type, can go for brand like Dicota (keeper I), RAM mount which
will easily cost you more than rm100. For a more luxuries mount, try Brodit, bloody expensive.

For any cheaper, try your luck on Holux, Krusell (if you have their multidapt enabled case), Arkon, iGrip, normally less than rm100.

For Arkon and iGrip I guess you can only get it online (that's where I bought mine).

I will not put my luck on the rm9 mount with my rm3k worth phone.

I own Dicota Keeper I, Holux, iGrip and Arkon, but IMHO, I like Holux the best, and it's probably the cheapest. thumbup.gif

Pennywise,

you should ask yourself what you want to do with it, e.g. for some people, having the extra keypad (hence extra weight) is totally unnecessary.

Trust me, the speed difference isn't much, I have a 624mHz x51v but I don't detect any speed improvement over my kaiser (partly due to the vga). My 2 cents.

Pennywise,

Kaiser has 128mb ram, that makes a lot of different (should be the same as Flame) compare to the 64mb ram counterparts.

The 2Gb rom Flame has is for storage (static memory). Kaiser has got 256 where half of it is occupied out of the box.

HTC normally provide free upgrade to the latest OS, so hopefully this time it remains the same.

wiraone, which shop did you get the krusell? I own a PDAir, but would like to try out krusell too since I have been using it on my other pda too.

h0inerve,

You can see the screenshots from PDAir's own website, it's a very simple case that does the job of protecting our beloved phone, no extra pouch for SD card.

PDAir is from HK, not US.

How many of you subscribe to unlimited 3G coverage with Maxis to fully utilize the internet surfing capabilities?

I did, but use it interchangeably with my data card, kaiser's battery has lack of umph .. sweat.gif

Hi Guys,

I am facing a bit of battery problem on my side. I just got my pda out from the service centre and it seems like the problem is not solved.

Also, just to be on the save side, i would need your advise.

My TyTN II will consume approx 4 to 5% of battery in an hour on idle mode. That mean the phone is switch on, set to manual GSM band setting and without additional services. Is this normal on TyTN II?
*
It's not normal, now when I am in a place with only edge, my Tytn II normally last 4 days or more. Take note that I don't make calls and did little sms.

You might want to try to turn the phone into flight mode and see the problem still persist.
