Will be attending an interview session for a digital forensic post today. Wish me luck!

It went well I believe, the session is not too formal. Other than the normal “warm up” questions, a few questions asked on the subject matter (digital forensics) and my past work experience. Also asked a bit about my current research that is going on. And I was informed that a digital forensic lab is being set up in Tower 1 and all the cyber security division will move there in January.

I believe they only offers contract positions currently, whilst Petronas scholars got absorbed permanently. I am not too sure myself 😂 . The position I interviewed for is contract btw.

Have you gotten any respond from Pet? I just received my email yesterday.

Yes correct. But they have not come out with an official offer letter yet. They called earlier today telling me that they already have the green light to hire, now just nego gaji a bit and waiting for approval from top management.

To be honest, it differs from time to time, in my case it took in total about 5 months for me to actually go for report duty, partially because I want to finish my semester before getting on board. But the process for me to receive OL is about 3 months roughly. You can call and ask, just dont be too pushy, but in current situation, do expects some delay.
