Hi,
I'd like to enquire on how to maximize my speed to achieve the possible 800Mbps speed, wirelessly.
I'm using an Asus RT-AC88U and I placed it on the 2nd floor of my house, while my PC is on the 3rd floor. I'm trying to avoid using net cable from 2nd floor to 3rd floor because it will be messy.
Thinking of purchasing the Asus EA-AC87 (which will be placed on the 3rd floor), but I'm confused between the Bridge mode & The Access Point mode. If I were to use EA-AC87,
which mode would bring me closer to the 800Mpbs?
1). Bridge mode as in connect the EA-AC87 to RT-AC88U wirelessly, then connect EA-AC87 to my PC via Wireless USB adapter capable of theoretical >1Gbps?
2). Same as 1), except I connect from my PC to the EA-AC87 using Wired cable
3). Access Point mode, where I have to a pull-cable from my router to my EA-AC87 (connected via LAN port), then either connect through wired or wireless to my PC?
Thanks
