in Kajang, nasi + ayam 1 piece + sayur mamak will charge RM6-7. This is cheap for me. gerai malay food usually charge lower. but malay restaurant charge about the same as mamak.

but mamak will always have lauk most of the time. This is suitable for people what eat outside of peak hour

No halal of course dont go. Nothing wrong with this. I one time see FB, got 1 malay guy pose makan in the famous klang cheong kok kopitiam where all multiracial people go makan, fuiyoh, all the fanatic condem that fella. Those who never been to klang cheong kok kopitiam wil never understand.

Kopitiam food also can persoal Halal ke tak. WTF. Ppl like this should populate in a deserted island far away from others

I am a Muslim who doesn’t have an issue with eating in an Indian joint.

However I avoid non Muslim restaurants that set themselves to look like its run by Muslims to lure Muslim customers. I notice many “mamak” places are like this. I don’t appreciate the attempt to deceive, and will avoid businesses who engage in this practice.

I think people shouldn't jump to conclusion that non Muslim eateries are automatically non "Halal". They should ask the owner.

I eat at non Muslim restaurants (chinese angmor thai etc) all the time. But I don’t like people who try to pretend they’re Muslim to make profit.

Same here. I think I'm lacking some form of interaction with certain group of people in this country. Hence, the shock when I got to know how some people thinks
