So, I was informed about the consumer behaviour of a certain group of people.

These people only patrons kedai "mamak" run by Muslims and not kedai "India" which has same setup as a kedai "mamak"; despite both of the kedai not having the "Halal" certification. Reason being, kedai "India" tak "Halal"

I thought he was only joking until I started to take notice for the past weeks whenever I walked pass these kedai. It's true.

How come such mentality exist here. sad.gif

Both stalls equally big scams. Dunno why people still give money to these money launderers.

True or not true, doesnt matter.

Haha.. I also noticed one more thing. If a kedai mamak has large amount of kapchais parked nearby, definitely "Halal" mamak.
While the other mamak that has cars, not "Halal"

Literally every mamak/ mamak-esque stall in Malaysia, chicken, fish and dahl curry taste the exact same. Squid and mutton charge the equivalent to gold. Mix rice charge ridiculously. Laughable hygiene. Yet this junk is featured as a Malaysian staple to tourists. Facepalm everytime I see a travelog video showcasing mamak food.

There's only one type of mamak I will patron. That's the proper Nasi Kandar type mamak. My favourite are in Penang. Dam... I'm hungry now

No halal of course dont go. Nothing wrong with this. I one time see FB, got 1 malay guy pose makan in the famous klang cheong kok kopitiam where all multiracial people go makan, fuiyoh, all the fanatic condem that fella. Those who never been to klang cheong kok kopitiam wil never understand.

Kopitiam food also can persoal Halal ke tak. WTF. Ppl like this should populate in a deserted island far away from others

I am a Muslim who doesn’t have an issue with eating in an Indian joint.

However I avoid non Muslim restaurants that set themselves to look like its run by Muslims to lure Muslim customers. I notice many “mamak” places are like this. I don’t appreciate the attempt to deceive, and will avoid businesses who engage in this practice.

I think people shouldn't jump to conclusion that non Muslim eateries are automatically non "Halal". They should ask the owner.

I eat at non Muslim restaurants (chinese angmor thai etc) all the time. But I don’t like people who try to pretend they’re Muslim to make profit.

Same here. I think I'm lacking some form of interaction with certain group of people in this country. Hence, the shock when I got to know how some people thinks
