My Audi original AGM battery lasted the past 5 years (still using), last check with Lansoi battery meter still show 68% State of Health. He he
My wife Estima was fitted with Amaron Pro battery, lasted 23 months. Car with power door, suck more juices no choice.
I am charging my car batteries every 2 months using Bosch C7 charger to keep them healthy.

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Aug 29 2018, 11:16 AM) Why need to charge it? isnt that is the use of alternator to charge the battery when you use your car? I don't drive too long a distance daily, something like 40km (to/fro work) so it may be a bit inefficient to only let the alternator does it work. So better do frequent charging (tickle charge mode) to keep the battery CCA strong.

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Aug 29 2018, 11:27 AM) Yup i know, just wondering coz he says batt still good after 5 years. so unless he rarely use the car, its abit impossible to reach 5 years. my current batt is >2 years old iinm still no sign of dying soon. Century i think lol The car that has battery lasting > 5 years is Audi A6 hybrid, it has 3 batteries, AGM crank battery, small EV assist battery and the enormous hybrid battery. All 3 located in the boot, not subject to any engine heat. I do drive the car about 3 weeks (5D/week) every month. So it's not exactly hardly drive. The one that I regularly charging are the crank battery (the one that we use to crank start the car) and the EV assist battery. The small EV assist battery did not last for 5 years though, only 2.5 yrs.
