What he means is, you buy laptop using Amex card on weekends. You will get cash back Rm50 from Amex. Then balance transfer the amount to Cimb credit card. Cimb has ongoing campaign for 6 months payment, 0% interest.

Balance transfer means Cimb helps u to pay maybank. Then Cimb split it over 6 months, and you repay back Cimb. Please check with Cimb whether is really 6 months 0% interest.

You will pay Cimb (3,600 - 50) / 6 months. So you don't have to pay 3,550 in one shot. Can split 3,550 over 6 months. Never use easy payment plan as most banks charged interest.

you can imagine a lot of users leaving them because no longer able to top up e-wallet which is used to be common nowadays but others such as HLB is very hot now, even though some didn't get RM7 they still feel satisfy because they got chances to get more CB and bank also earn a lot due to the volume as compare to 150 winners only per hour. Hi guys, not sure if this is the right place to post my query. Currently have some CC debts on my MBB card. I was reading up on some balance transfer and was curious how it works. Is it worth pursuing it as they have a 0% annual fee but with an upfront management fee of 3%.

I was exploring with the balance transfer option earlier but didn't click submit, but I noticed I was required to select another bank in order for me to proceed with the Balance Transfer.

Minimum was RM1K and max allowed as per the site was RM2,732. My current debt is around > RM8-9K and I am looking for ways to manage it better. I do make payments > the minimum required [+- RM2K monthly]but I would rather settle this properly before it spirals out of control.

Anyways, back to topic - does this mean I need to have a CC with another bank in order for me to pursue this Balance Transfer option?

Current scenario:

Salary bank - Maybank
Cards Impacted - Maybank
Balance Transfer - I need another card [not Maybank?]

Yes, balance transfer means you transfer your outstanding over to other bank cc. (Restructure your overdue outstanding)

Different bank offer different % and repayment terms. So u need to look out for their offer, find as low as possible, and 0% interest.

Suggest if not able to payback, dont use cc. You will end up having less money by using your future money. 1 more suggestion, Can try OCBC cash flo card. When you swipe above 500, will auto divide into 3 months installment + 0%. Above 1000 will be 6 mth 0% interest installment, which I find it quite good deal...but have to pay on time of coz.
