Does anyone know if there is a cutoff time for it to be considered "weekend spend"? I used my card last Saturday 15/9, at around 1230AM. In my statement, it shows the transaction date as Friday!

Yes, online, iherb. They’re definitely in a different time zone but I thought that as long as I use the card on the weekend Malaysian time it would be ok.

Just FYI, I called Maybank, and they asked me to email the details to the customer service, with the timestamp of the order. After about 1 week+, they confirmed my transaction was at 1230AM on Saturday, and credited the cashback amount into my card.

Similar case, I topped up my Grab account using Amex last Sunday (30/9) at 1140pm. For some reason, it didn't qualify for the cashback, but after calling, CS confirmed that it was on weekend, so they'll be adjusting that manually too.

So, it's worth calling the CS just to try and get your cashback!

It says 1% cashback for ride hailing (Grab). Does that mean it’s applicable for the grab wallet topups, which can then be used for anything, not just Grab rides?
