morning CC-ers, if let's say when you pump using Amex at Petronas and they say go to counter since got problem with pump terminal

can we go to counter and then ask if can pay via Amex not?

one thing is i'm shy if we go over then people might think this guy no cash wanna pay card (but i just wanna earn points and cb)

same thing with Celcom bills also, because i read elsewhere that through M2U cannot pay using Amex but can pay by visiting physical Celcom store

Shy what? This is your own feeling, nothing to do with anyone else, so nothing anyone can advise you. Customers right to choose how to pay, who cares what other people think.

so lets say 1 month i paying GE insurance around 400 - if i pay on weekdays, i'll get 1X so 400TP

if i pay on weekends - i'll get RM20 cashback

mana satu is better?

i guess it all comes down to whichever we prefer - TP or CB

any thoughts?

Theoretically pay RM400 at weekend using Amex to get 5% cash back is better.

Practically, any life insurance accepts Amex as payment as of now ?
hmm.gif

alright duly noted flex.gif

just checked over on GE website, only Master and VISA

sad

nevermind la, try to spend everything on AMex on weekends if possible (general rule of thumb)

Just wondering where you guys go and get your Celcom bill paid via Amex

The Celcom in Starling Mall said cannot

I asked and they said normal Celcom shops generally won't accept, but they told me to try centres

Sad la, why cannot pay through M2U just like Digi

Ishhh

Amex then apply for CIMB balance transfer to amex card.  Ongoing campaign 6 months, 0% with zero processing fees.
*
so means the following month i need to pay the full 3.6k?

What he means is, you buy laptop using Amex card on weekends. You will get cash back Rm50 from Amex. Then balance transfer the amount to Cimb credit card. Cimb has ongoing campaign for 6 months payment, 0% interest.

So you will pay (3,600 - 50) / 6 months. So you don't have to pay 3,550 in one shot. Can split 3,550 over 6 months. Never use easy payment plan as most banks charged interest.
*
ooo understood, but i dont have CIMB CC

hahahaha

tyvm for the explanation though

Haha u can check around, see which other banks have 0% balance transfer. Then apply their card and do it. Better than you waste interest.
*
or alternatively i can just find for shops that deal with 0% installment and then swipe there right?

am i understanding this correctly?

"Transaction Date" must be Saturday or Sunday. Check the dates!

can confirm and did my calculation for my CB last month

always check the dates and also double check with the utilities government thingy starting from June onwards

can always check the first post of this tered also

but then again he said he spent on weekends, so maybe the categories he spent in doesn't entitle for CB
