Hi brothers. I just got the phone a week.

Found out these updates in Asus website, do I need to download all to improve the phone? Or just download the latest one will do?

So far only got the auto brightness bug, not a big problem for me since I just disable it. You quote yourself, LOL.

Relax...AFAIK, apart from the auto brightness pain in the ass (which may or may not be addressed by Android P) and the wifi ac limitation, the lil' bugger is basically bugless.

As a no-frills daily driver, I find it functional and practical. The 4/64 is good value, especially if it's on sale.

This new update looks like a bummer. Standby drain used to be like 1% over 3-4 hours but now it's like 1%:1.5hrs. sad.gif

The fellas over at XDA have noticed it too.

Nope...I don't see any improvement in any other area. In fact, running services are using more RAM space now. Used to be around 1.3 to 1.4GB on my device but is now consistently at 1.5GB. Cached processes have increased slightly too.

No issue for my unit...

can you try to disabe the WPA security for the hotspot...if can download/upload meaning nothing's wrong with the hardware...test first without security password... I think it has something to do with your telco too... which telco is this? UniFi Mobile...? Some telco plan cannot hotspot at all...

Yeah, some telco does not allow sharing of mobile through hotspot tethering.
