i have an aunty similar situation like yours, i told her to turn to paper weight as what everyone suggested. but she pandai went to Machine service for help and they somehow managed to 'reset' the device for her to start as new device. Not sure whether those authorised service centre have special extraction tool but no harm going there to try.

Now this aunty frown at me every time she sees me and i feel useless
