Helping issue of mom's iPad Mini.

I think she enabled the found iphone thing option. Restarted and it request activation as below:




The annoying problem is she totally forgot the apple ID which is the gmail account. She forgot the gmail account username as well. Tried every possible combinations of email name to try still cannot get.

Anyone knows how to bypass this, or perhaps do a hard factory reset of this iPad?


I have tried:

a. Contacting Apple Support: same thing. "Sir, you need to try and remember your apple ID, and as well as your gmail username". They cannot help further.
b. From Google; the DNS bypass thing to bypass the iCloud crap. Didn't succeed.

Please give ideas.

She never email to anyone before? no one even knows her email at all?

If yes, then no luck. U got no choice but to use it as paper weight already.

No one brah.. becos created the email just for the sake of apple id. Lol

totally wrong move to do it As the Apple ID the most critical thing to protect an apple device. Should just use an email address that is in use and not to use a new email.

but with this lesson learnt, u will do better next time.

Sounds weird..even when using yoyr apple id acc, u are using your email.. And the email sync at the ipad email apps.. Whenever u buy or install apps in apple store, it all uses the apple id.. So its almost unlikely anyone would don't know what email used in apple id.. Lol

Since the person using is my mom, its not that weird. Haha..she just use it for web browsing look for recipes. Hehe. Never bothered about Apps Update, iOS update. Haha..

i have an aunty similar situation like yours, i told her to turn to paper weight as what everyone suggested. but she pandai went to Machine service for help and they somehow managed to 'reset' the device for her to start as new device. Not sure whether those authorised service centre have special extraction tool but no harm going there to try.

Now this aunty frown at me every time she sees me and i feel useless

If third party ah Beng shop has ways to do it, no harm trying since it is already an paper weight. Nothing can be worse than that.

i've been to the normal place, not really official Apple store, but computer shop can repair DIY. they say cannot do. if u know a shop can do, share with me. if got bricked or whatnot, doesn't matter, at least we try... lol

Take it back to apple service with your receipt. They charge to open back

if no apple id.. how use apple store? and they will keep pop out if i not mistaken

now a day, some handphone shop can change the hardware to unlock apple ID.
but the price r not really cheap, last time i ask for mini 2, they charge on the RM300 and cannot be factory reset anymore. after factory reset will be lock back

Can use icloud unlock services, restore back as brand new. Can factory reset also for future use. Let me know if need help.
