QUOTE(ober @ May 30 2007, 04:51 PM) SRAM expensive ka? no lah. just the shifters only. im still using my deore RD. Ober, nope. can't afford that either. You are using SRAM shifters with your Deore RD? Can meh? Coz currently I just trade in my LX Dual Shifters, DNM std rear shox and Tektro disc for Fox Float R and Magura Julie.. Then wanted to buy the X7 shifters to fit my LX groupie.. Then other people say cannot use due to different ratio.. Now thinking to get X7 (shifters, cassette & RD) at Bikepro for RM450 then got another offer for X9 (shifters, cassette & RD) for RM480.. Then another fren says just buy the X7 shifters (RM160) and X9 RD (RM190).. Sigh.. now dunno wat to buy.... |

QUOTE(ober @ May 31 2007, 09:39 AM) SRAM attack, rocket shifters model that can only be used with shimano RDs. Other than that, you cant use it. because of the ratio difference. 2:1 and 1:1. I suggest you to go for X9 model. if you can get it that cheap. SRAM attack rocket shifters? How much is that?Should I buy a complete groupset or mix and match? Read a review that the X7 shifters are better than the X9.. hmm... |

QUOTE(me0wSter @ May 31 2007, 11:00 AM) I thinking of using back my old setup.. Just get the LX or XT Shifters.. Some peeps says that the way of changing gears between SRAM and Shimano is like a japanese and a continental cars.. SRAM is a bit harsh while Shimano is a bit quieter.. And I am so far left behind of these upgradeable biking parts.. |

QUOTE(akchang @ May 31 2007, 11:54 AM) mushr00m, Hehehe.. thanks for the info.. Now I stick to my current setup Shimano LX, just bought the LX Rapidfire for RM120.. Save money to buy Revelation..Nah...not really...the only different between Shimano n SRAM is thumb n finger shifting. Shimano XT trigger shifter - Push thumb to 32T / Pull finger to 11T SRAM X.7 trigger shifter - Push thumb to 32T / Push thumb to 11T If u use the XT shifter ur thumb n finger will be on the shifter pod but ur finger also needs to be on ur brake lever as well. If you use the X.7 shifter pod ur thumb will be doin all the shifthing up n down n u can safely use ur fingers on the brake lever whole time. Both Shimano n Sram are good products it just that you have to get use of it. I know that SRAM shiftinng are more precise. akchang, so decided went to meet up? |

Usually go s'pore just for fun... But every year in June/July sure go there for the Great Singapore Sale...
This year already include visiting a few bike shops in my yearly agenda.. Also wanna check out the Fox outlet in Orchard.. Last time went there good sale but their riding pants got no size... This week gonna try the Bkt Cermin in Putra Heights.. It seems that they have a 4 feet ramp.. See whether my Tbolt can stand the jump or not... QUOTE(me0wSter @ Jun 13 2007, 11:39 AM) It is behind USJ.. On the road from USJ heading towards Puchong, its before the Toll, there a junction to Putra Heights..It seems that some people who stayed there which really MTB ethusiasts have created a track for riding... All I know that it started off with a 45" Degrees climb and it is quite technical.. Maybe I could take some pictures and have it posted ere... |
