There's this brand called Odi? ODI? something like that, but not  OBER.
*
Hi Andy...

Yes the are grip names ODI... Price at KSH TTDI around RM75 - RM80..

I bought mine Intense grip with lock for RM65.. The tauke gave discount from RM80 coz I buy the Thomson Stem and Bontrager Bar at that time...

hopefully my LBS will restock this weekend hehe..

if they do...

1. Truvativ Firex Crankset
2. Deore Rear Hub
3. 9 Speed Chain
4. 9 Speed Cassete
5. Deore LX RapidFire Shifters

will all be mine drool.gif
*
Nightstalker, you want to get those items? How much is your budget? COz I'm thinking selling off my LX groupset and change to SRAM X9.. (Coz I want to have the gripshift drool.gif )

I might also need to change my hubs due to changing to RS Domain which require me to change to use a thru axle type.. cry.gif If I do all that, spend almost around RM2.5K.. cry.gif rclxub.gif

*
Wah... Heckler... I think you buy the frame in Singapore or Bandung or Bangkok which is much more cheaper than ere.. provided you are in those country la... A fren told me, a Heckler in Bandung cost around RM6K complete bike.. isk...

My fren is going to Bandung end of this month.. I can only request him to get me a Met Parachute for RM300.. sigh.. no money to buy anything else.. Have to concentrate to get the SRAM X9, RS Domain 318, Tank hubs and Mavic freeride wheels... rclxub.gif

This shop also sometimes got some decent parts as well... SRAM X7 gripshiter RM170, SRAM X9 RD RM150.. I wanted to buy but no money at that time... shucks...

and it is in Bandar Sri Damansara... Damansara now got so many.. I oso got mix-up leh...

Heav Tools is those bike shops that sell normal bikes and mostly have below average stuff...

if u want to buy some higher end components u can ask the uncle to order for u which will take abt 1 month lol...

eg. my fren ordered a Shimano XT RD 2008 from him for rm160...

still awaiting stock to arrive lol...
*

I used to go to this shop last time during schooling to mod my bmx.. The old man help me to convert my Mongoose bmx to fit with gears...

From the Sg.Penchala Toll (LDP Toll) heading towards Bdr Sri Damansara/Sg.Buloh/Kepong.. Go straight, keep left till you reach a traffic light. ( Turn left going to Sg Buloh, Turn Left to Kepong). Go Straight till you reach another traffic light, but this time, turn left.

Go straight, passing by the first left junction, which you can see Alliance Bankon your left, Uncle ABC Shop is around 50m - 80m down the road on your left..

The address I don't have... but I try to search around...

BTW : Uncle ABC shop no # 03 - 62724691

And other than Nathan's, are they big enough to be able to bring in Giants?
*
Dunno la bro, but my fren bought the Giant Reign frame for RM2900.. The frame will be arriving sometime in mid september..

My fren bought a Tecktro Hydro for RM350.. It comes with an 8" rotor.. Now my fren's tbolt has a 8" rotor front, 7" rotor behind.. The cable took quite sometime for instalation due to my fren changes to Marzoochi Triple Drop-off fork, and the cable is not long enuff...

Anyway, Nathan's shop is quite ok.. Friendly seller...

I use WD40 for brushing and cleaning after every rides and dip in engine oil once in a blue moon for full overhaul of my chain.

I really won't recommend removing your chain every time you clean it. If you accidentally didn't align properly when you put it back, then you're in deep shit.

You'll stand a higher chance of breaking it if your on riding far far away..
*
I would clean my chains and cogs after every muddy ride... A bit of work but I like my bike to be clean.. Self satisfaction.. ahahaha .. FREAK...

Guys,

Planning to go for my 1st  upgrade  rclxms.gif ....but small upgrade only (wife kind of agree grudgeling).....want to change my pedals. The ones that came with the bike suck. The kinda small & narrow. Looking for flat pedals but so many brands; bontrager, atom, wellgo......any suggestion?
*
Bro,

I remember that I saw Wellgo platforms at BikePro for RM180..

I bought my Shimano DX for RM180 as well... I like this coz it comes with 2 sets of screws.. short and long.. very gripping though.. It even scraped some pieces of my leg during a downhill fall... cry.gif

If you want, I can still try to ask for the DX..

The DX looks good but I am currently an anti-bikepro. I will keep in mind your offer, thanks man.....that scrapping of the legs sound painiful...ohmy.gif

*
hehhee.. the Wellgo are from Bikepro.. Dun worry.. They tend to discriminate people sometimes.. U come with bike cars, wear bling2.. they entertain like some Datuk.. U come dressing shorts and tshirts, until you die la they all don't layan.. Look also with one eye only..

I got the DX from a fren.. He is selling it... icon_rolleyes.gif

Hehehe.. Nice bike wash stand.. But then have to bring brush, soap, rags, chain brush. eehhee.. Basically for those people whose stuff their bike in the car..

In Putra Heights, got this car wash asking for RM2 to clean the bike.. Imagine washing your bike with snow wash and jet spray..

But remember to hold your bike.. It's quite powerful you don't even have to scrub or brush...

Wah lau.. no regrets la dude... Make use of what you have... When you wanna buy a bike or mod it, follow your pocket, not your desire... You'll regret later...

I made some regretful changes when I bought my bike,

- LX Dual Shifter.. Coz after that i upgraded to Magura hydros..
- Clip pedals + 661 Shoes - How laa to play DH if your leg stuck to the pedal.. If fall, not enuff time to unclip... rclxub.gif

With another RM3K, I can get

1 - RockShox Domain : RM1450
2 - SRAM X9 + Gripshift : Rm550
3 - DT Swiss + Tank Hubs + Spokes : RM600
4 - 8" Rotor - RM120
5 - Fox Flux : RM260

Still got RM20 balance... Can go eat Nasi Briyani at Restoran Ismail.. (Next to KSH) ... thumbup.gif
