yes we know that everyone would love to do everything on mtb. just name it and do it. but then u gotta haf the rite bike ya know. ur bike is very specific for XC. especially ur fork and frame. ive learnt this the hard way. haha. so im telling you from my experience. ive been there and done dat.
so have one bike for each category lah if you want to do all. QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Oct 1 2007, 12:17 PM) the dude in red can go DH,can ride ard the area for hours, can do a 180 spin, can jump and do tabletop, can fall and break the rims( This post has been edited by ober: Oct 1 2007, 01:36 PMso he's also an all-rounder lol.... so currently aiming to learn the basics like bunny hop(damnit still can't do it) and ignore the advance stuff like 180 XC/FR/DJ FTW!!! lol... |

ur bike isn't extremely small. im pretty sure it's 16". a frame for perfect jumps is 14".
wheelset, fork and frame is where of the most expensive parts of a bike. u hafta really willing to fork out some money if ure going for DJ. with ur current frame, just go for XC in kiara or frim or road ride. QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Oct 1 2007, 01:48 PM) well my bike frame is extremely small and perfect for jumps.. fork i'm gonna change once it breaks... damn the rebound sux shit and no money for another bike lol... maybe i get another bike in few years time a full-susser for DH and XC purpose lol... but currently my GT frame suits my street riding needs lol... |

sweet.
QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Oct 2 2007, 01:05 PM) wtf just measured my frame... thanks thanks. actually, not because of my eyes le. it's just common sense. fake gt frames? of course they come in 16" size lah. hahaahha. why would they bother producing in other sizes if they wanna cut cost rite?IT REALLY IS 16"!! but top tube measurement is 21" and downtube measurement is 25 or 26" can't remember lol... QUOTE(myaho2 @ Oct 2 2007, 01:12 PM) thanks thanks. QUOTE(Andy Lo @ Oct 2 2007, 01:41 PM) typo only. cannot count. QUOTE(me0wSter @ Oct 2 2007, 02:35 PM) |

usually cut for it's "too long" length that doesn't fit the frame when lowering it down. usually a problem for with small frame sizes.
