This post is interesting.
How about Netgear Orbi? It is the best mesh wifi system according to some reviews.
How to handle VLAN of hypptv through Mesh Wifi , are they able to manage Vlan trunking?

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Aug 23 2018, 03:07 PM) Up to you. VLAN trunking have to be done via a switch. I've always wondered whether those mesh wifi router/ satelite is able to this :-
It would simplify the whole system if the router/satelite can manage all the VLAN instead of buying additional switches to do it.

QUOTE(ahpingko @ Aug 23 2018, 03:45 PM) OOKAS mentioned that the latest TP Link Deco M5 able to support unifi directly already.. It's not supporting unifi that is the concern. Is the ability to transmit both vlan500&600 wirelessly and each of the satelite is able to untag them. Also it needs to untag the internet data and transmit through wifi for all the devices.

QUOTE(kutitata @ Aug 23 2018, 03:51 PM) is it possible to run a cat6 cable up? then connect another wireless ap to that cat6 at the top? Then there will be 2 wifi ssid and you need to manually change it on your phone etc. The point of mesh is so that you have only 1 ssid and the mesh wifi automatically changes to the router/satelite nearest to you.

QUOTE(ahpingko @ Aug 23 2018, 03:57 PM) i think support unifi means can already support the VLAN tagging for internet and the hypptv else how to label as supporting unifi? lol.. Yes most router also support unifi but they are not able to transmit both vlan wirelessly. eg:- Like the Asus AC68U it will just output vlan600 on port4 and Vlan500 on port 1-3. It's not able to trunk both vlan and transmit wirelessly. Asus also support unifi but can't do that. You have to be very careful what "support unifi" means exactly.

I have good experience with the aztech 1200mbps homeplug. Consistently gives me 2ms ping to router. Maybe my house wiring is new.
But it lacks bandwidth , only managed around 150mbps consistent.

Anyone here uses MOCA 2.0 before?
My house has concealed tv port, thought can use it.
It's the only reliable 1gbps (real world 900mbps+++) that I know of after ethernet.
