o... but when it reach to zenfone 5z. then it will match the price of Mi 8 already. which I guess have better camera?
*
The Poco camera can barely match with even some midranger much less ZenFone 5z. You're buying the Pocophone F1 for it's flagship hardware, specifically it's Snapdragon 845 SoC which is considered the highest tier SoC for mobile devices in the market currently.

If you want a phone that excel in photography capabilities as other premium flagships then you're looking at the wrong phone and maybe consider something like the Pixel 2, OnePlus 6, S9 or Note 9 instead. brows.gif

Anyone knows all model storage is UFS or only 256gb ?
*
All Pocophone F1 variants utilize UFS 2.1 type flash storage standards.

It's the reason why the phone interface experience and launching of apps can be so quick and snappy. You can try benchmarking or try launching apps with a device using UFS and another device with the common eMMC memory with the same SoC, devices with UFS will significantly blaze ahead in read and write performance compared to eMMC or slower memory types.

*
Currently there is some form of agreement going on with the authorized Mi Malaysia distribution. Online channel will sell the 64GB variant while physical retail side will only carry the 128GB variant.

The fact that Pocophone F1 have the Gorilla Glass 3 treatment on it's display is already more than bang for buck at that price range.

Don't go expecting things like sapphire glass and lenses or IP water resistant ratings certified.

The oleophobic coating on all types of display including the actual layer on your device display will degrade overtime especially after heavy usage and multiple wipes. It's simply wear and tear, same goes with your monitor and television as well. The reason why it's so much more noticeable on your mobile devices is due to it being a touch based display that we utilize daily, often times over hundreds of touches per day not to mention we position our mobile device much closer to our eyes than other form of hardware.

Even the best oleophobic coating in the industry will significantly degrade over a span of 8 months or so. Just stop worrying about the quality of the coating of your screen so much and enjoy it, nothing lasts forever to begin with.

Whefe got sell oleophobic coating? So we can coat ourselves
*
You can order it online or try certain hardware stores specifically those selling DIY equipments, however after coating your display surface, you would usually need to wait 24-48 hours or longer for the coating to be cured. Also there are many type of grades for the coating, there are more expansive ones and there are cheaper ones. Generic oleophobic coatings would have a significantly shorter lifespan than those from your device manufacturer.

Guys, the screen size is 6.18inch effectively including the notch, I wonder anyone know what is the effective total screen size excluding the notch?
*
Approximately 5.99" if you exclude the notch area however the Pocophone like any other modern mobile devices utilize the 18:9 aspect ratio, which does not take up the entire display by default on media consumption. This include playing back video on Youtube and other media player apps that adhere to the 18:9 aspect ratio.

This is taken from youtuber. The notch fully hidden.

This is mine, even after the update still cannot fully hidden the notch.

This is like the low-light picture taken by reviewers and mine.
I start to think there is different batch/version of this phone.

Any Poco AP owners can show if the notch is fully hidden in their device?
*
This is actually more of a software (ROM) issue. Some users in India reported the same thing with the ZenFone 5z as well, though they manage to temporary fix this by restarting the phone.

from lazada you should be getting Global version with EIN sticker on top. With EIN that is considered MY set. Without it consider AP
*
The one with EIN sticker is the one which is currently authorized MY distributor thus official set. ANY handset made for global use outside of China are printed as Global Version with the Google Play store and non-China ROM. AP set can also come printed with Global Version which means they come pre-installed with the Google Play service. As long as the printed IMEI match your phone with the box and comes installed with non-China ROM then it's 100% original local set.

Guys just invest a bit and get a quality TPU or hard shell plastic cover case, it shouldn't cost more than RM40. Your phone will thank you for it.

The quality of the included silicone case is damn fragile and does not fully edge out from the surface of screen thus if anything the 2.5D glass screen of the Pocophone F1 will be the one taking the blunt of the force from drops, bumps and other physical impact. Even most reviewers who unboxed the Pocophone said the included default case leaves a lot to be desired. sweat.gif

I am wondering this phone seems damn good but it can’t support HD on YouTube, u guys really can live it?
*
It supports 1080p Full HD resolution playback on Youtube but for any other video streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Video that relies on Widevine L1 DRM encrypted playback for 720p and above is a no go because phones like the Pocophone F1 is only certified till Widevine L3 specification.

If got the cash, get oneplus6 (t) , hassle free.

Definitely get OnePlus 6 if you have the budget. thumbsup.gif

Built quality, camera and charging technology wise, Pocophone F1 simply cannot compare not to mention OnePlus have one of the largest custom ROM and software community next to the Nexus and Pixel of Android devices. If you are seeking for tons of custom ROM choices with solid third-party support then OnePlus phones are a no brainer.

I already got the oneplus 6 in the past. Its really a great phone.
*
If that's the case then I doubt the Pocophone F1 will live up to your expectation because OxygenOS is definitely cleaner and feels closer to stock Android then MIUI.

Can I use other charger for fast charge?
Like 3rd party or Samsung or etc...
*
Pocophone F1 utilize fast charging based on Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 standards, so any QC charger will do but in order to take full advantage of QC 3.0 charging speeds you basically need a compliant QC 3.0 charger, cable and device. Xiaomi have also promised QC 4.0 support via a future software update that will feature charging speed up to 15% higher than QC 3.0. thumbsup.gif

but u need those type C end to end cable right ?
*
Yes, if you want to theoretically output up to 29W of power but currently there are no known device in the market that actually charge at that wattage even with the latest Quick Charge standards. Also all Quick Charge standards currently enforce a maximum of 2A for maximum compatibility with the already widespread legacy USB 2.0 cable and there are already plenty of USB cables with Type-C to Type-A end that can output up to 3A current and complies with QC standards.

At the end of the day it's more to do with how much current and power your device limits it's charging potential it's self rather than the charger and cable.

Can we use Pd3.0 ?
As qc4 ?
*
Nope, because PD isn't part of Qualcomm's QC standards, QC devices must be paired with compliant QC power delivery hardware to take advantage of it's QC features. However, I believe any modern handsets should have no trouble negotiating a higher current from a PD port (something along the line of 2.1A) so it's still fast charging but just not as fast as it's compatible QC standards.

If you guys have trouble looking for a QC certified charger then just grab a one of those "smart charger" that is capable of outputting at 2.1A or above, they are defiantly faster than those common charger than can only output at less than 2A, most of them even comes with more than 1 or 2 charging ports. As of right now, QC 4.0 certified chargers and powerbanks are quite rare and pricey.
