just finalized setup this morning, now after boatloader unlocked... all user data gone.... need to resetup again... ZZzzZZ

Mind to share how to unclock bootloader?

make sure u login your mi account to your phone and in the developer setting > mi lock status
then download mi unlock tool https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html

login to your mi account to the unlock tool, turn your phone to fastboot mode and plug in to your pc and click unlock.

There's a low level formatting after unlock?

basically phone reset... need to reinstall all apps if you setup as a new phone, unless u restore from existing phone.

I also just received the phone from Lazada, placed the order on 30/08...stated should received before 12 but only received it at 4.00 PM with follow up with Lazada asking for the update through live chat..maybe too many delivery done by the staff that caused delay for today delivery

imagine u lost ur phone, and the person didnt hv ur password.
of coz he hv to unlock to reset the password.
as final data safe guard, all device unlock hv to clear all personalized data

you can set double two to wake in conjunction with face unlock. so you needn't have to press the power to button.

the phone is good. only lacking screen protector. the free case is ok for now. do share if anyone knows where to get the screen protector.
