i am using Adaway on my redmi too. it uses host file to block Ad. but its not constantly to require an update or run in the background. Yea the only downside is requiring root. Never use Blokada before.
After rooted but need to use the OTA update require some steps. I havent try yet.

one thing that i notice, i feel like the scroll is not so sensitive. is like the scroll speed "a bit slow" compare to my redmi note 2.

ahh.. so this is the "ghost touch" issue on poco. now i understand. i tot the touch issue only happen on the screen edge.
when i am typing, the keyboard always minimizes, this is due to the touch issue as well? i am using swiftkey.

i bought this 2 all from taobao both also good. Actually, all the source are from China. if u cant read chinese u can try Aliexpress. I think it will still cheaper compare to shopee.

I've check the quality not bad, havent start using it.

Using this now. Really like it, the carbon fiber leave no finger print and dirt, most importantly scratch resistant. I think it will last for quite sometime.

u can search for Anker or Aukey, both make amazing products.
Anker is a top seller in Amazon US. Aukey is slightly cheaper than Anker.
First, u need to see how many Watts does it support and does it support fast charging.
The number of USB ports is not the main concern, the main concern is the safety and power output.
I am using Anker 60w 6 USB port. No fast charging tho, but is more than enough for me that i bought few years ago.
When getting a USB charger better get one with UK plug. If you get from China most of them come with China plug and you will need a converter to use it, which i won't recommend. What you pay is what you get, my advise is never get a cheap charger for your electronic products.

almost a week of usage, i feel like the touch issue really annoying. I am getting skeptical if it is really the software issue. When i am typing too fast, the keyboard will minimize.
The scrolling is now sensitive. Even myold redmi note 2 no such issue.

okay, let me write this down before i sleep.
I have been doing intense testing and searching for this 2 issues:-
Disclaimer: i am sharing this base on my own finding.

1. Scrolling issue/ delay/ lag / unresponsive on certain App. especially Facebook, Instagram and 9Gag.
2. Keyboard auto minimize when i am typing, no matter fast or slow.

Q: why this 2 issues? because these are the daily features that i use.

1. Scrolling issue/ delay/ lag / unresponsive
here is what i found, this only happens on the certain app that uses infinite scroll. Google it if you donno what is infinite scroll. Apps that use infinite scrolls such as facebook, instagram, 9gag, playstore and youtube. Because it takes around 1 sec to load new content.

Possibilities:-
PocoPhone did not optimize for app that use infinite scroll or the Apps did not optimize to support Pocophone.

I dont have scrolling issue on "contacts" and "WhatsApp" despite with huge amount of msg everyday.

2. Keyboard auto minimize
Solution:- Turn off Fullscreen mode and use it with navigation buttons. So far i never experience keyboard auto close after that. i believe it has something to do with the swipe gesture that triggers unusual false detection. I am using Swiftkey btw.

PocoPhone fullscreen mode is half-baked, they try to mimic iphoneX fullscreen mode but it causes tonnes of bugs. Just turn it off for now until developer manage to fix it.

I will try to test the phone, if it still bugs me i will just return this phone....
Not sure why i am doing this, feels like we are all pocophone beta tester lol.

i experience this when i type using phone, the keyboard gone.
when swipe to back gesture do not register.
The whole experience is just weird.

Are u using fullscreen mode? u can try to disable fullscreen mode.
I am using swifkey, keyboard size is largest, i feel a lot easier for me to type with bigger keyboard.
After i disable fullscreen mode my keyboard never close when typing.
I strongly believe it triggers the Miui swipe gesture and trigger the keyboard close.

Right now i really cant tell if this is software or hardware issue.
i feel like xiaomi trying to calm all the user by releasing a statement saying it can be fixed via software update until this phone EOL or no longer in production. Because Xiaomi refresh their product line very fast. My experience from redmi note 2, i bought it when it just launch in Malaysia but after 1 month+ they announce redmi note 3 lol.

scrolling and typing issue really frustrating, it crippled the phone.

i hope it is true, saw some xda comments, the edge touch register getting worse.

saw some comment saying that it happen on mi mix 2s and redmi note6 pro as well. but it's fixed after miui update. Cant confirm this.

the fix is purely for ghosting or it improves overall touch experience?

Keyboard never shutdown, App never exit.
Solution: turn off ur fullscreen mode.
I hope more user can try to turn off ur fullscreen mode and test if u are bugging by the keyboard shutdown and app exit issue.

I dont game as well, i just try to see if it fix general usage like scrolling and typing by disabling fullscreen mode.
So far typing issue somehow fixed for me.
Scrolling i feel still crappy compared to my redmi note 2.

I cant comment on the touch issue on the gaming experience, since i dont play game.
I am just focusing on the most basic smartphone feature like scrolling and typing.
Glad to know that turning off fullscreen did solved the problem.
But scroll delay still exists, i compare with my redmi note 2 and my mom mi8 lite, the scrolling experience is totally another level. Especially on facebook.

There is no perfect phone in this world. Every software will have bug. As long as verified this is not hardware issue, it just takes time to fix by the software update.

not trying to cover xiaomi, but i think maybe Google Android OS team should buckle up.
Even their "child pixel 3 with their own "Bloodline" OS, still have a lot of issues.
