Yup, it's mainly due to licensing cost thus why we literally never see the latest QC standards even on the latest flagships and the reason why most manufacturers create their own specification on fast charging. Qualcomm charge a hefty sum to both mobile and accessory manufacturer if they wish to have QC implemented into their hardware.

In my book, OPPO's VOOC a.k.a. Dash Charge still have the best implementation thus far for fast charging on a mobile device but likewise it's completely proprietary just like Qualcomm's QC technology. 

It's all true, but manufacturer care about cost only    if little or no additional cost, sure all jump in QC4.0 

ehem*fruit-company didnt include fast charger in their latest expensive flagship, hell even cheapskate and pull out headphone jack adapter that cost few dollars only 

I just hope that one day every company will use the same fast charging concept as VOOC/Dash Charge, cause even after Qualcomm developed the Quick Charge technology to 4+, its still nowhere near as efficient as Oppo, OnePlus and Huawei. For the licensing cost, its really stupid because flagship companies are charging RM2-3k. Some even 4-5k! So licensing cost is more like a lame and cheap excuse for them not to include the latest and the most efficient technology right inside the box 
For Pocophone, its forgivable or even generous for them to include Quick Charge 3.0 adapter within the box. But its kind of illogical and unforgivable for other companies to charge RM2000-3000 for a smartphone, yet to not include latest technology right inside the box. If their excuse is to cut cost, then I honestly find it bullshit. There are many other components that are much more expensive to produce, a simple charger licensing shouldn't be a dent for the price they're charging. And yes, the Apple's packaging are getting more and more absurd and ridiculous tbh

Super VOOC can charge the device from 0 to 100% in 30 minutes, and that's INCLUDING display on. What's the purpose of capacity anymore if we can charge at such speed that can last practically the whole day?
