to put it into perspective...the f-i90hd igpu is better than the intel igpu...but its worst that the 7300gs....if i remember correctly it scores slightly above 1k in 3dmark06. Besides if you intend to OC this mobo, then its better to go for a proper PCI-E GC, by using the IGPU it puts alot of stress on the mobo northbridge chip and your OC stabililty is going to be somewhat touch and go.

onboard video is always a no no unless u are ok with playing games at low res like 640480 or 800*600 with low to medium settings...and that's for previous generation games.

but u can certianly play war3 at the maximum quality sice it's an old game

This is the po-dunk mATX case I'm using. It's ruggedly built and not hard on the eyes. I got 4 fans cranking away inside, 2 of which belong to the PSU and the top air vent. You should change your HSF. 60°C sounds pretty scary. And 90°C on load sounds like you have a Chernobyl on your hands. How many fans do you have in your rig anyway? Maybe post a picture here so we can evaluate.

The Radeon Xpress 1250 is said to be the same class as X600. On my end I can play Half Life 2 at 1024x640 with 2X FSAA and max everything at around 30FPS.

Rock solid so far after OC to 333MHz bus with my 7600GT card. Looks like I've hit the sweet spot.

on board vga do strugle to play h264 720p encodes sweat.gif

i believe for a mATX, we should discuss practicality/features over price rather than OC, as you wanna place the board in a nice slim casing on ur table, maybe for htpc or some light computing wink.gif

Usually M-ATX is more for multimedia usage, and from time to time, a little gaming, but not too top games which will definitely stressed the on-board GC, slows down everything. Its just like a Laptop, those without dedicated GC.

But for Nvidia's on-board (ref to both my 6150 and 6100 chipset), its quite stable, not sure if its bcoz of AMD's architecture, but for C&C3, no prob for 800 x 600 with medium quality. Not sure about the framerates, but its smooth. Haf not tried others yet, but for those yahoo games, not a prob at all, much better than any Intel's solution. Best of all, the 6100 chipset can still support Window Vista's Aero feature.

need some suggestion.

building a energy efficient rig. so gonna get igp. does everything under the sun, and a little bit of those free mmo and enemy territory, should suffice.

right now eyeing for biostar 7025, but really dunno if i should go for nvidia or amd/ati chipset. if anyone know which consumes less watt, that should be the answer. do i need shader 3.0? probably not. do i need HDMI? not right now. but i would want when i finally get a HDTV. which somewhere in the distant future... does hdtv comes with dvi? and biostar is the cheapest. from cycom pricelist RM215.

i should spend some ~RM70 and get a 7050/a690 + hdmi? or not.

gonna get a BE2300/2350

and a 19"/22' lcd

oh, and too lazy to ask in another thread.
a psu question.

how efficient do you think those stock psu in those pc case. i'm not talking silverstone high end.
err, how about, a modest icute.
i know at best should be in the 80% range as i've seen on some sold seperately stuff.

you appear to utterly neglect the fact that just like ATX boards, virtually all micro-ATX mobos since few years back also include an AGP (now a PCIe x16) slot for a dedicated graphics card. hence gaming performance on a micro-ATX based platform should not be an issue.
