Technically, can last until the tread and the bump are same height. but when the difference not so obvious, should be about time to change. If more than 4 years, just change it because it has hardened noticeably compared to new under our climate.

You've got more than enough mileage out of those tires already la. Just change them before prices go up next month with SST. That's the problem with very high durability tires like what you have or the CC6 etc2., they already have cracking way before the treads are gone, hence it' better to buy better performing tires that will wear out faster. Having said that, your tire size is odd/rare one, maybe better convert to 205/50/16 so can have many more options.

Wah too narrow rims, cannot. Best is only 185/55/16 then.
Typical of rim sizes nowadays, go for diameter but narrow widths because they think people will easily get attracted to the diameter while won't notice the pathetic widths. Just look at Mazda 6 2.5 rims, so big diameter at 19' but the width is just a skinny 7.5j!

If really want to save weight then they should not put 16' to in the first place! A 15' would save even more weight and more matching with just 5.5j width. It's all about following the fashion trend actually, because people/the market is too fixated on big diameter rims hence manufacturers also follow to try fit the biggest diameter rims in their car but then try to cheat for efficiency by using very narrow rims.

Coz your rims width is only a measly 5.5j!    Even 195 is already a bit too wide for 5.5j even though still can. Is 195/55/16 the original stock size for that car?

The price adjustment due to re implementation of SST is going to bring tyre prices up. Although by right, only NEW supplies at/after 1st September should be affected, but knowing how unscrupulous most of the businesses here, they will raise prices exactly at 1st September despite selling existing stock.
