I just bought my Canon 350D + kitlens last few month. After shooting phots at Hong Kong during my holiday, i discovered the kit lens can't statisfied me and i plan to buy another lens to shoot photos in several situation like landscape, building, potrait & night scene.

I was considering Sigma & Tamron. Any strong reccomand from SIFU-SIFU out there ?

Thank you.

Actually i was considering below lens :

- Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5
- Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3
- Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3
- Tamron AF 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3

What is your's command and recommand ; anybody know the selling price for those lens ??

Thanks......  notworthy.gif

from your requirement i dun see what you need to get this THREE lenses blink.gif

- Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3
- Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3
- Tamron AF 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3

I would go for Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 since it will perform better in lowlight compare the rest..f2.8 mah

Also FYI, if a zoom lens the focal length range is too wide the poorer the lens will person..

Meaning let say
Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 vs Tamron AF 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3

18-250mm would be weaker then 18-200mm....

One more lastnight, go to some review website READ all the review...of the lenses you looking for..it would give you a good answer....

Good luck to you my friend.

tell you what my friend. Goto Canon Concept Shop, there is one in KLCC and Curve..test out the lens..if they don't allow, write a email to Canon Malaysia to complaint...

That's one of the service avaiable in Canon Concept Shop. You can either bring your own camera there to test or use their display unit but remember bring your OWN CF card so you can see what you snap, how sharp, clear, nice is the lens giving the the output picture...
