I'm surprised you have to ask when someone in that thread already told you they weren't allowed and pasted a link there.

well... i belived some people will use knife as weapon .
but anything can be weapon , such as the baton or even special screw driver can be a weapon too ..

what i am concern is , there is such people who collect swiss army knife , my frined is one of them . i dont see any problem for selling it ...
*
There is a difference between a swiss army and the type of knife kedaikakilelong is selling. In some countries (UK, Australia for example), the sale of knives to people below 16 is prohibited. Our prohibition is not without reason.

My point is that its a dangerous weapon. The knife you're selling is obviously very sharp and dangerous (as you yourself admitted) and we don't want kids getting hold of it and accidentally chopping off fingers with it right? Thats blood on your hands and worse, blood on ours. Even if you didn't care, we do.

Goods prohibited on import or export are listed under the Customs (Prohibitions) Order. Generally such goods are being categorised as absolutely or conditionally prohibited.

1.

List of Goods Absolutely Prohibited from Import

.......

Daggers and flick knives (switchblade knives)

We're just being safe, not unreasonable. I'm sorry if you feel otherwise.

the worse part is i took my time to take pictures of the item, write proper description and answer questions of the people, doing it as my rice bowl, the moderator just removed my thread and i didn't know what happened, there was no PM or notification, just disappeared... and my hardwork gone

1. It was in the rules, you didn't follow it. We have every right to delete it as we see fit.

2. We don't typically PM/notify unless you request for reasons. You did so by opening a thread here and we replied within 1 hour.

3. Shawty already replied in your thread that it was prohibited. You paid no heed to it. Whose fault is that?

4. Its our ass on the line if something goes wrong when you sell a prohibited item, not yours.

If you would like to appeal, use reasons not emotions.

I can put a line there that the buyers must be 18 and above

Added on May 28, 2007, 5:58 pm

This is not import or export, this is C.O.D, I have a shop that you can walk in and purchase

Sorry, buyers must be above 18 line doesn't work. We have similarly banned alcohol sale and tobacco and the like.

Import = any act of bringing something from overseas. I have no idea where your stock is from.

If people would like to, they can very well purchase it from your shop. Or any other site. But just not this one.
