surveying routers around since yesterday until today..

rounded down to these few good ones:
- TP-LINK Deco M5 AC1300 2 pack - RM555
- Mikrotik hAP - RM580
- ASUS RT AC66U - RM 625
- Linksys EA7500 Max-Stream AC1900+ Mu-Mimo Gigabit Wi-Fi Router (EA7500-AH) - RM 699

Anyone used these routers above? can help to do a quick speed test via wifi if you already on 500mbps? not interested with Archer C7 though..

Hey, thanks for the price list. I should include that as well, for people that are interested.

Tenda is okay, but their firmware needs some tweaking to be used for Unifi. Obviously it can't compare to Archer C9 or Mikrotik or even DIR-878.

what is the recommendation for RM400-600ish ? I think I will continue to use the Archer C2 as the main router connecting to BTU.. all other devices like TV box, NAS, Hypptv connected via gigabit LAN port..
Wanna get one more that serve as good wifi router...might pull a cat6 to connect this new router to old archer c2 and set the new router at the middle of the house for best wifi coverage..

main usage is downloading and transferring stuff from PC upstair in room to NAS.. files size as in 20-30GB..

Anyone got experience to configure two unit of Mikrotik hAP AC to work as a mesh network like asus lyra with dedicated backhaul? How is throughput vs range compared to Asus Lyra set? Really interested with Asus Lyra set..probably solve my issue with my old 100mbps powerline set+archer c2.. but seriously interested in hAP AC (2 units) too..they both priced about the same..
