I think TM’s international trunks cannot handle so many 800Mbps and 500Mbps subscribers.
They are hoping these subscribers go back to 100Mbps to reduce the international traffic.
If not, they have to increase their international trunks for the additional traffic.

You have the best price for the package now. Why you want to go with 100Mbps + Ruby Plus pack + std20 for the same price?
For me 300Mbps + Ultimate pack + std20, I am paying RM159.
I removed the std20 and deducted RM20. So the new price is RM139.
If I go with the new 100Mbps with Ultimate pack, I have to pay RM129 + RM30 which goes back to square one paying RM159 for only 100Mbps.
I also cannot move to the new 100Mbps package.
I need the Ultimate pack as I never had Astro before.

All the while I'm not the one paying for the Unifi, but I just only checked the bill for the first time (my sister paying and don't check the bill at all), and noticed that our 50Mbps package is charged RM 219. RM 60 is for the Ultimate Pack/IPTV.

When we tried to recall, we remembered that when we applied for Unifi (30 Mbps then free upgrade to 50Mbps), the IPTV was free for first few months (can someone confirm this?), actually we don't want the IPTV and told TM to cancel it later. So we thought it was cancelled.

But I read so many here paying about RM 160, so I checked and tried my luck to appeal. I was told that all Unifi package MUST include the IPTV which doesn't make any sense to me. When I questioned why some paying lower, then was told that different promotion.

Need to find out the following, if I've a case then I'll appeal to MCMC, if not then I'll forget about it. It's a lot of money paid (yes it's our mistake we didn't check the bill but again we recalled we call TM to cancel it).

1) Is it true that all Unifi package must tie in with IPTV? YES
2) Is it true that we cannot cancel the IPTV at all, meaning those not under any "special promotion" must pay RM 219 for the 30Mbps (which was upgraded to 50Mbps later)?  YES must have at least 1 hypptv pack.
3) Any idea if TM able to check from their system that we didn't use the IPTV service at all. Stii have to pay even unused.
4) During early days, was IPTV given free for first few months then they charge us later?

hi boss, for now I'm in unifi VDSL 30mbps no chance to 100mbps because I'm in VDSL building. should i change to Maxis rm89 30mbps unlimited or change my package to Unifi 129 with 24 month contract? never use Maxis fiber but i know they're using Unifi infra😥

just now chat with TM live chat, i'm asking about the rebate program as promise by Minister Gobind Singh and the fellow tell me that there is no rebate for previous package as they already have a new package offer with lower price. is that true ? im asking to change my package from 30mbps to 100 mbps (RM129)

those struggling to optimise their wifi speed on their device (h/p, tablet or laptop), just use wifi analyzer apps to see your actual wifi speed come to your device first and unifi speed coming to your device is always 50-60% from that wifi speed value. i tested mine, example i seat next to my dlink dir-842 and get 200mbps (2.4 band) on the wifi analyser, do speed test with singtel server or tm server, always get 100-104mbps (package 100mbps). than i move around at my living room, getting only 160mbps wifi speed (2.4 band), do speed test again with tm server, only get 80-90mbps. so, those with higher unifi package (300-800mbps), wifi router efficiency and signal strength coming to your device is always pain us. hope this info help. expert please correct me. i just express my own observations.

Got 800Mbps since end of August, I have decided to change back to 100Mbps come next billing cycle.

800Mbps is overkill, too much for me because I’m not a heavy downloader, mostly streaming.

I would save around RM60/month (RM720 a year) for making this decision

The best part is the C1200 would be just great for 100Mbps. Don’t have to waste money to buy another ‘powerful wireless router’

Believe me, 100Mbps is more than enough for most of you.

Almost same usage.. 3-4 people streaming at the same time.. Even got 1 device with Netflix 4k. Using 30Mbps, enough for the whole house. Can see traffic peak but not long.. 1 month usage reach 1TB.. Download sometime only.. Never buffer also. 30Mbps should be minimun but 100Mbps is good enough.

Ok so now another lie from TM when they tell most of their customers that the Turbo upgrade process is automated and there is nothing they can do for us and we have to wait.

My 30mbps Unifi turbo to 300mbps yesterday. However Max is 100mbps for LAN using CAT5 cable n  50mbps for WiFi.
BTU is HG8240w n Router Tplink AC1200.
WiFi tested on Xiaomi RN3,RN4 & MiMax, , Minix neo u1 n 2 laptops(802.11n, 2.4GHz).
I don't intent to upgrade any hardware just to accommodate 300mbps but would at least like to optimise the usage of the new speed. Any suggestion?
1. In order to get 300mbps  I need to get 2 CAT5e/6 cables for BTU-Router & Router-PC right?
2. Where to learn how to tweak my existing modem n router so that my wifi devices can run at the highest possible speed?
