QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 14 2018, 05:14 PM) To clear the air, I didn't really ask. I just said I don't know when I will get my Turbo and some more paying RM 189 for 100Mbps when there is a plan for RM 129 only. Actually i am thinking to do the same request as you, but mostly won't work for me and they might proceed with downgrade, as i always have no luck in my life, and i can't visit Menara TM...In that case, I don't want Turbo anymore. So she tried to counter off me to stay with my current plan and first thing first that she said, "Kalau cik dapat Turbo dalam 2 minggu, cik boleh tunggu tak?" I asked her back, isn't it by location or something, she said she can put in request. She did jot down something and I did in HQ. Well, eventually I failed to get RM 30 discount but I got RM 10 discount which is RM 179 and Turbo upgrade in 2 weeks time. Whether it will happen or not, only TM will know. If it doesn't happen in two weeks time, I will go back and look for her since she said I can look for her. |

I am planning to pull a cable from my router to my room from ground floor to first floor of my house.
As shown below, i will stick the lan cable with Unifi cable and tv antenna cable together and following the same path to the space between roof and ceiling, and then go down to my room. May i know can i use any cat6 utp cable that is long enough? or should I use shielded cable? If i run these cable together will they interfere with each other? Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(dickybird @ Sep 15 2018, 03:43 PM) Cat 6 cable is already shielded. Unifi cable is fibre optics. Don't worry, they won't interfere with each other. I saw many cat6 on lazada but isn't many are unshielded, which is utp???I just wonder if you can accurately estimate your cat6 cable length? Is there no other more direct path to your room from the router? i will buy 30m, should be "more than enough", i think this is the best path. Because there are other rooms at the left and right of my room and there are few corner before the cable can reach my room. If i put the cable above the door frame, my family sure will complain, and it will be ugly if go this way. This post has been edited by lol0919: Sep 15 2018, 04:08 PM |
