hi guys...I'm newbie in ICE and nothing to shout out about my ICE...my Sony HU going to kong already...

read a lot of good review for Pioneer HU ( price,durability & SQ )...but Eclipse sound win hands down...so,my questions are :-

1) is it fair to compare Pioneer 5950IB and Eclipse CD3000
( feature/durability/SQ/design ) ? I personally prefer Eclipse design

2) Eclipse CD3000 is 5V output, but Pioneer 5950IB 5V also? what spec determine the
SQ ?

3) does Eclipse HU are reliable in reading burn mp3 CD and pirated one ? I know
Pioneer does it good

4) I just wanna upgrade my HU first coz no budget on speakers...if I use my standard speakers (front & rear ) and tweaters, by using this either 2 HU, does it make HUGE different or A BIT only ?

5) market price for Eclipse CD3000 how much ? seen one seller selling rm900+ for this one...and can get Pioneer 5950 about rm700..

6) does Eclipse CD3000 have Loudness function and good EQ option like Pioneer 5950?

my budget is around rm700 and any other brand with the same budget which is comparable to Pioneer...

really need all sifu opinion as much as possible....TQVM

y not get the new eclipes CD3100, you should be able to get around RM950..
while the pioneer 5950, i dun think is 5v preout. the other option will be pioneer 6950 4v preout if not mistaken, should be able to get around RM750

5950 has 3 2v preout

eclipse gives a clean sound.. if u like pop, rnb, jazz n etc.. it's great

as for pioneer, earlier than 7000 series, i haf no comment..
