QUOTE(Pengie @ Oct 31 2020, 09:45 AM) Hello all, A taobao seller refunded me through Alipay and I do not have any verification for the Alipay account. Any solutions to claim back the refund? Not verified cannot withdraw. Just use it for your next purchase on Taobao. You will be saving on the service charge.

QUOTE(CommodoreAmiga @ Oct 5 2024, 08:00 PM) Yes, my account already at verified status. Uploaded passport and face scan since yesterday. Yes, Chinese restaurant means local Chinese restaurant in Malaysia, lol. Sorry confused a bit there. I have tried at Family Mart earliar today as well, it fails too. You can only use alipay in China. Cross-border payment (meaning you use alipay in Malaysia) is only for those with mainlaind ID. In other words, you can only test it out when you are in China. I've used alipay in China for years, not much of a problem, except that there are still some merchants who will only accept wechatpay.

QUOTE(CommodoreAmiga @ Oct 6 2024, 10:07 AM) I see. I realized you can also book hotel in Alipay using TRIP. Have anyone tried before? If booked using TRIP, means the payment will be done via Alipay once confirmed right? If you set currency to CNY, then you can pay using alipay. Same goes to Taobao, if you set currency to CNY, you can pay using alipay.

QUOTE(lowyat101 @ May 26 2025, 04:22 PM) Hi, wanna check, for payment in China, do I need to activate this as per the screenshot below? Or just the scan function is sufficient? [attachmentid=11514063] Thanks This is needed if merchant scans your code instead.
