Anyone got your hands on it already?
How does it compares to PS4S, PS4, CSC6, V12E2, RE003 and F1A3 on our soil?

LOL, it take them forever to launch this tyre. But good news now we can choose either Hankook V12Evo2 and Falken FK510

Not a bad thing too, as this gives ample time for overseas to review/compare the tyre. Instead of launching a new tyre where no one has heard of.

Damn it, took them so long until i tak tahan and changed to hankookv12evo2....

Still so new, how to compare. And tyre shops seems to have bad affinity with falken brand with multiple shops in my area giving falken tyres some bad comments and shunning to stock them.....

Aiya...still so new, mana ada that fast pakai wan?? This not big brand like michelin/continental.....

Anyway, found online one place selling, 225/45/18 for RM450 :

https://www.mudah.my/225+40+18+FALKEN+FK510...4860.htm?last=1

Pricing not too bad considering tyre is very new and supply limited. For those that are interested but not urgent in changing, prices should drop and stabalise around mid 2019. Just hope that when SST kick in, there are no further "unforeseen forces" pushing prices up again....

Hahaha mana tau mayb got member here have exclusive early access to test. Not sure they will do any pilot testing here prior bringing in a new tyre?

Yes heard from some shops falken quality no good, easy pregnant, made in indo...but mostly those refers to lower end models.

Still enjoying my 20K km V12E2, still very low noise from smooth road. It will be a while before I could test the FK510. Hopefully prices will be stable soon.

Sure already that long? I thought this tire came out back in 2016, no? Anyway, since this is not a popular brand like Michelin/Goodyear/Continental then not really surprised that it took long to get launched here. The V12E2 also was very late to be available here, probably as late as this FK510 too.

BS is outdated already la. They haven't been featured at the top of any comparison tests for a very long time now.

Yeah decent pricing, about midway between V12E2 and first tier brands and still pretty cheap considering it's made in Japan, unlike the overrated/overpriced Toyo T1S and Yokohama V105. Most likely sometime next year I will be trying out this FK510.

So this is the next Falken tyre to regain market sales in our country after the obsolete Falken Azenis ST115?

Yup, next to the V12E2 & S1E2, this should be another excellent tire that would give other top brand UHP tires like PS4 & F1A3 a run for their money.

But i guess hankook did well despite being late, see more shops putting up hankook sign boards. I talked to one of the tyre shops before regarding this kind of brand specific sign boards. The shop owner mentioned it is a type of "subsidy" that the specific tyre brand give in terms of renovation costs. So that means hankook plans to eat into the established brands' market.

V105 still got some basis lar....M5's OEM tyre, price definitely steep though.....

V105 has not been winning any tests even back then when it was relatively new so with such steep prices, it's just not worth it, just like the Toyo T1S. One Mark X owner used it before and he totally regretted the purchase as he said the performance/grip is nothing special for that price range and it's very noisy.

I got ask a few shop before, they have a constant flow of customer, but refuse to franchise because they say group buy have more dicoount. then I ask what is group buy. he say group buy is like that have a group of shop owner, all buy stock together and put in 1 store. can cheaper but I don't know where all the free gift go.

cheaper for them, but not so cheaper for us.

they also mentioned if franchise need to chase target that make them stressed. if you bring good brand, exp those opt for more econ tyre like simes, gtradial wont come to shop anymore (make up 50% of the customer.)

Again, got to say, you did a good job "promoting" the v12evo2 to be the econo-performance tyre choice. Best thing was that hankook keeping the prices affordable till now, hope it is not just a temporary marketing move and raise prices after reached certain market penetration level.

Anyway, don't know whether the seller typed wrongly or not, small print says RM270/pcs for FK510 :

If like that, the price literally out of this world!!

You refer to which tyre that is expensive?

What you mentioned further also make some sense. Most of the time see them get their tyres from some "central location/warehouse".

The seller changed it. Its RM450 now. laugh.gif
270 for 18" is crazy for a newly launched tyre.
