dude, check this site http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/devices.htmlBasically, if you want every features for isync to be use, go for smartphones, such as Nokia Series 60 Smartphones or Sony Ericsson P800, P900 and P910

I don't use iSync...because I don't import contacts and do those stuff. Normally, I just use Bluetooth to transfer files over. That works well with every phone my family(even my friends) own so it shoudn't be a problem.

I personally recommend SE with Mac OS X.
Sync flawlessly with Address book, iCal and iSync. Then if you want to transfer file, you can select Transfer mode in the phone, and it will mount as removable drive with fast speed transfer.
You dont have to use some other incompatible software etc (e.g. pcSuite for some phones for file transfer).

Hi bahir, I know you mentioned that you are not interested in the hp's music player or camera but just to put in my 2-sens worth - I'm using SE W850 and apart from the normal syncs (iCal and Address Book) which I don't use but I believe is good, when the W850 is mounted I can import photos taken with the W850 to iPhoto easily (iPhoto treats the hp as a digital camera and asks if want to import) and transfer iTunes playlists with iTuneMyWalkman (a 3rd party app which I believe is freeware).
I just love it when different gadgets work well together.

I'm a new owner of a 2nd hand Palm Treo 650 and unfortunately I have to say that this model doesn't sync well with Isync for whatever reasons. The addresses of my contacts in the work category does not transfer over to the phone. I have to export the vCard from the address book, import it to the Palm Desktop and sync from there.

With the budget of rm1500, you can already get a good phone with good camera and music playback capability.
Get k800i and it will work perfectly/easily with mac os x, plus you get a very good cameraphone and easy to use phone.

if you don't need biz applications ie >1000 contacts, unlimited sms, msn etc then the K800 is better and less costly but it is Java and less Symbian free software.

Good news for Nokia N-series owners! Nokia has now released Media Transfer for Mac (beta)... Props to Nokia for giving the much needed attention to mac users I've just installed it and it works great... Adds functionalities that iSync lacks :- photo syncing with iPhoto and music syncing with iTunes.... U can connect the phone using bluetooth/nokia usb data cable, but for obvious reasons transferring photos & music would be much much much faster using the data cable... Something to keep me happy while waiting for the iPhone to reach our shores...
