i think something to do with the anus skin is more prone to tearing as it is not made for penetration by penis and lack of sufficient lubricant

Once there're microscopic tears, things can transmit between the anus and the penis more easily

Plus the chances of gay using condoms are low due to no risk of pregnancy i guess
