Engine die off? This 1 never happened. Once a while 1st crank cannot get, then need to crank longer only can start, this happened many years already, mostly on engine is hot like after refuel petrol or tapao time.

This round is like 1 second no power to crank, after that back to normal & is powerful as my battery is new. That's why hold me not to replace my starter yet.  hmm.gif

yeah, once crank it start few second then slowly macam dying ada engine light then mati liao need to recrank then back to normal.

nice to earn....

btw just a question what are the performance mods you have done to your car?
my car hitting 10 years of ownership and 12 years in age, finally itchy to change some after market parts.
Things i've added/changed to my B-Line:
1) Fog lights
2) Steelies -> Used proton alloy rims
3)GAB lowered springs -> changed back to stock. Now itchy looking for adjustable.

How hard is it to DIY change power window regulator and motor? Rain season, my power window finally decided to die on me.

seems quite doable, i've only changed my door handle so far.
Your power window totally not working already? my passenger side all kinda weak already but since i don't fetch anyone i just spray some lub at the sides as a temporary solution.

But recently i have a new issue, my radio "makan" my CDs cannot eject and keep being turned on even when the car is off.

passenger side weak. can go down but to go up need extra help, and only work with the engine on. if engine off but battery power on, won't budge.
driver side need a good whacking for it to work, but recently it refuses to work no matter how hard i hit the door.
main switch also stuck now, feels like the spring jammed already.

rear window cannot go up or down. many years ago, the mechanic was so tired with power window problem, I think I remember he said I didn't fix it but he made sure that the rear window won't go down again so I will never have power window problem.  sweat.gif

postponed to fix this issue for 2 years because i was focusing on the suspension parts and engine.
*
Mine if i wind it using driver control for the passenger window, it has difficulty going up and down can get stucked, if direct control can go all the way but very slow. Most prob mine also soon already 2011 car.
So you going to change all 4 motors? how much the dmg?

Yea, mine also like that. Need to use the switch on the door, if use main switch the window is too weak

Just irdered part for front side include regulators and motors and main switch.. Total 200. Main switch not original.

I'll think about the rear window later.
*
Nice do a review after you changed, i've just changed my radio as it wasn't shutting off when the car is off, no more issues with it for now.

Sometimes it's battery in remote control need replacement. Tried that?
If there's a lot of wear and tear, i suggest buy own part and bring to shop for replacement. They'll charge you more for parts if you use theirs because they need to provide you warranty. I got quite a lot of wear and tear to replace this round so i checked with my workshop is that ok i bring my own parts. They're ok with it and will charge workmanship accordingly. Do check with their consent just to keep hard feelings away.

the key still works i can lock and unlock with the key but no longer have any sound when pressing.

Then need to check for wiring shorts, or simply failed beeper. If not mistaken it's located near wiper motor under engine bay hood. Near firewall of front passenger side.
*

Hi all, just now on the way back from work, i noticed my car temp go up until almost to the max during idle/stuck at traffic jam and traffic light.
But when the car moves, it dropped back to the normal level (centre) almost immediately.
Then when the car stopped again at traffic light, the meter goes up slowly and drop down again when moving.

Stopped the car, open bonnet, see no leak whatsoever, no smoke/burn smell, the fan was spinning.
Last CNY, already changed to new water pump + timing belt set, which also change the coolant.

Was the problem related to termostat or others?  hmm.gif Also the car is 15 years old.
*
my car just overheat last week, found one of the hose from the radiator cracked and leaked otw to KL. Do you change your own radiator coolant?
The last time my car overheat due to the plastic crack after replacing the workshop just refill water into the radiator.

I'm using oem. Just make sure the PSI rating is the same then you should be fine.
*
recently also just changed mine back to 1.1 previously my radiator top tank cracked and they change a 0.9 bar cap for me.

Recently I went to some winding road trip with my MT Persona and I started to push it. (e.g. using 3rd gear to reach almost 100kph on a bend)

I noticed some power dropped in high RPM after 1+ hours of driving on the winding road especially when the weather turns hot. Does anyone feel this as well?
*
didnt really notice that, but i notice my radiator cap leaking after driving fast on winding roads, but then again that time i was using 0.9 cap instead of the 1.1.

It's better to check for your braking system for the spongy feels. But Persona CM has been associated with spongy brake AFAIK.

Leaking master pump is one possibility but you should be able to detect the leak at least from reducing braking fluid level.

Another possibility is characteristic of your brake pad, it will feel soft if it's soft type. I have changed to metal type and the feedback improved, yet the screeching before reaching operation temperature during morning drive is just annoying.

Jammed calipers usually changed one shot when you change brake pads.

Maybe you should inspect braking line as well for potential swelling when you brake.

All in all, get a trusted workshop to check. Better than guessing in dark.

i feel the brakes bites harder when driving hard. biggrin.gif
