Hi, Im looking for a place that can fix mechanical watches at reasonable prices. The watch doesn't seem to to work no matter how much I wind it or shake it or anything. It was never dropped or anything. Just stopped working.

Are you based in KL? If yes you can try Steven Watch Fixology (Syarikat Wah Foong). Their address:
156, Jalan Raja Laut, Chow Kit, 50350 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur

There's also DeChronos in Subang Parade, which is a little more expensive (RM50 more for a full service) than Steven Watch Fixology but the turnaround time is much quicker.

What do you consider a reasonable price though? A full service is about RM250 even at Steven's.

The shop owner looks quite young but he's been working with watches since habis sekolah until now.
The guy charges reasonably, and willing to do many mods.

Met him last month to mod a 22mm bracelet to fit a 20mm watch.
I asked about basic price for servicing mechanical watch, he said start at RM180, which is quite competitive.
I asked about changing seiko SKX009 and skx779 to sapphire glass, he said RM300, but he wouldn't recommend it, still would do it if u insist.

So i think changing dials, hands, should not be a problem with him.
Waterproofing. IDK.

nice watch there. I had one very similar looking but it is SNXS79, and sold last month.

can always get aftermarket glass as replacement as long as the size fits. Price should be around RM80-200, depending on the glass type.

can try to contact Ben via whatsapp --> zero one one -1519 8 two one two

tell him Yap recommend. A sifu in watch repair, used to be one of the old timer from ThongSia. All my vintage watches maintained and repaired by him. His "shop" is in mahkota cheras.

I got my Seiko 5 a new glass last month. Paid RM35 for it.
Done by an old sifu in a watch shop in Melaka. 10 minutes job.
