Another question on audio for those who connect the box to TV via HDMI and to stereo amp via RCA.
Intend to use media player to play music thru external HD.
However i only hv music coming thru TV and not to the amp.
What do i hv to change for music to come thru amp only (ie zero.volume on TV)?

Old school amp...no spdif. ...😁. Might consider RPI + DAC with spdif for low cost solution.

However the tv has to be on n the music will play from tv as well (btw sharp 6800 thks to yr recommendation).

Hv to mute tv coz if lower volume then overall volume reduced. Nd tv on for song selection purposes.

The good news is i believe the sound quality thru Q10 to amp is much better than playing from laptop to amp! Any idea if thr Q10 had a build in DAC?

next time u try, play Q10pro, turn off tv, give it a few seconds.

the audio should return as it is still playing, audio out from rca.

unless the tv CEC is messing with it - which u can try changing the settings in the TV.


You are right bro! Turn off on tv n the.volume can be controlled by mouse or amp separately! Thks AVFan as always!
