Something like this...
can we use the usb even though there could be more than 1 hdd inside?
Or do we need to go through samba or LAN...(Never tried before)

Yes, I saw and read your earlier posts and was about to buy those RM100-300 until i chance upon these...
I'm not into RAIDs though...just multiple HDD and kept in a fan ventilated and more nice arrangement setup.
Back to my original question, would these be recognized by Himedia Q10pro (without the need of a PC or LAN)?
I believe if the Orico Dual Bay can show as external drive when plug-in PC (one or two drive), it should no issue when use on Android TV Box.I'm not into RAIDs though...just multiple HDD and kept in a fan ventilated and more nice arrangement setup.

If you do not have any problem to transfer/copy/move all downloaded media files into it, then can consider it.
Another option:
maybe you can consider a NAS or Cloud that come with network port, so you not only can access your media files from Q10Pro, you also can access from your phone / tablet as long as you connect to your home's WiFi without turn ON Q10Pro or even access from outside if needed.
Just sharing:
I did a test to play below video file which load from NAS over LAN smoothly.
