Hi guys,

I am trying to connect a few sata drives to my himedia q5 pro via a wavlink dual bay dock. The problem is, it only can detect 1 hdd and not 2. Any idea why? I was thinking of upgrading to a mediasonic probox where I can mount 4 hdd at one time. Any idea if the media player can read all 4 hdd in the enclosure?

should try it on another android box, see if works or not.

possible this docking station does not fully support android.

Thanks. Will test it out. Anyone else mounting more than 1 hdd on a dock to the himedia player?

Hi all,

What is the best video player to playback 4K HDR files. I am currently using MX player but have been noticing that some fast scene are pixelated. Thought that it was a HDMI cable fault then went on to replace a few however the issue still persist hence, confirmed that it is not a HDMI cable issue.

u missed the elephant in the room?! biggrin.gif

himedia boxes incl q5/q10pro, unlike others, come with own native player.

u can use media center or file manager to get to your files to play back.

it will auto framerate switch, e.g. if yr setting is 1080p 60hz, it will auto go to 1080p 24hz if the video is such.

however, it doesn't auto switch resolution - that u have to set manually.

the native player is the powerful one with many features/options for video and audio to play with, incl 4k, hdr, bdmv menu.

mx, vlc and others can't do that.

the price of this box is higher than others becos of this native player and its capabilities.

Wow...….how dumb of me. having owned 2 himedia player, I didn't even try our the native player as I have been a fan of the MX player hahaha

Thanks Sifu…..will certainly give it a go.

cos used by my dad, he isn't tat tech savvy

Bro,

I recently install EMBY on my q10 pro which I set up as my media server hooked to 20tb of media and it worked flawlessly. Initially tried doing it on kodi which was too confusing to me. after all the setup is done, it will generate movie posters automatically. Hope it is what you are looking for.

When playing back the media file, you actually need to have a paid version however, you can set EMBY to play the media file through the native player which worked fine
