QUOTE(digidigi @ Jan 8 2019, 05:27 PM) User point of view nfc contactless definitely better lo, like Apple Pay etc.... The barcode things is very cacat, I rather use my physical card to wave... I have always been an advocate for not using the "contactless" feature (a.k.a PayWave) cause it is a security NIGHTMARE. Stolen cards can still be used up to RM 250, I hope one day BNM will reduce the physical card contactless to RM 30 one day. But in the modern day, security and convenience don't mix well. So what I do is always turn off or physically destroy the contactless feature by cutting the fine copper wires embedded inside the card with a razor. The exception is, Samsung Pay, Maybank Pay or CIMB Pay. This post has been edited by moonsatelite: Jan 8 2019, 07:13 PM

QUOTE(my44 @ Jan 10 2019, 03:23 PM) Heading to Philippines soon. Just doing some calculation if I should use BP for ATM withdrawal or not. Want to withdraw: RM1000 BP fee: RM10 or 2% so in this case RM20 Exchange rate: using XE so can ignore Philippines ATM fee for all foreign cards: 250P which is about RM20 So for RM1000 withdrawal the total deducted is RM1040 (4%). Correct calculation? QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jan 10 2019, 03:39 PM) To Cybpsych: Sorry, clicked on the wrong post to reply. But I have updated. Edited: BigPay will only charge a fixed fee if RM 10 until further notice for foreign withdrawals. So, only RM 10 by BigPay. This post has been edited by moonsatelite: Jan 10 2019, 03:43 PM

Hello guys, anyone of you guys are paying the Maxis Bill via BigPay?
According to a previous post in this thread, it was mentioned that some BigPay user tried to pay via BigPay but it failed and caused the funds to be stuck in limbo.
So I'd just wanna ask for any other same encounters before I proceed to pay my bill.
P.S: It was an issue encountered by "hoys88" post number #8726

QUOTE(CrimsonFreakz @ Feb 16 2019, 08:11 PM) Hi everyone I will be going for a business trip at Germany soon. Just want to know that can I directly withdraw euro from ALL the ATM there? And is it cheaper to swipe big pay there or use euro at retail/f&b? Thanks Just to let you know that you can do some research through Google and you'll find out that Germans prefer cash than cards. Germans are old school, but still Europe is more cashless than Malaysia.

QUOTE(lowyat101 @ Apr 9 2019, 06:08 PM) Anyone has managed to withdraw money in China? Not listed in the 1st page yet. Thanks You can withdraw money from the 4 big banks in China easily with a Visa or Mastercard. ABC = Agricultural Bank of China 农业银行 CCB = China Construction Bank 中国建设银行 BOC = Bank of China 中国银行 ICBC = Industrial and Commercial Bank of China 工商银行 So far my experience was with BOC and it was back in 2017 where BOC does not levy any fees for withdrawals using a foreign card. Not sure as of 2019 will there be any withdrawal fees from the bank apart from the RM 10 BigPay fee. *I'll try with BigPay should I travel to China again. QUOTE(Cookie101 @ May 10 2019, 08:07 AM) Withdrawal limitation lies on the respective banks. They want to control their cash flow and maintenance of the atm. For the contactless limit, it was BNM policy as a protection to cardholders. When this was first introduced, majority kpkb about its security etc. Now many enjoying the convenience. Suggest to raise this to BNM for future consideration to increase the limit. The contactless limit is not on big pay alone. (Stating the obvious) The card limit remains at 10k. I’ve made multiple transactions up to 10k without any issue, Unless it’s the rejection or downtime. Contactless payments are a security NIGHTMARE, stolen cards can be used for up to RM 250 and also the long procedures of calling customer service and waiting for your money to be refunded. For me, I call for the RM 250 limit to be reduced even more.

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Jun 19 2019, 03:44 PM) There's also JCB, which is widely used in countries like Japan... Heard that it's coming soon for GoPayz as well. Between Unionpay and JCB, JCB is like a super rare gem in our country. Do you have any links that mentioned that JCB will be issued? As for Unionpay cards, unless GoPayz follows BigPay's standard by not charging 1% - 2% on top of transaction then it's better to get a Unionpay Card from Public Bank for only RM 8. But the virtual card is nice, what they can do is to make an app like Maybank Pay/ CIMB Pay and allow GoPayz user to pay via NFC through smartphones. Also, they require RM 10 to be deposited permanently to use the cards.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 19 2019, 05:02 PM) I think we need to bring out this Go Payz topic from this thread. Since it is an e-wallet (right?), then can open at e-wallet section. It already has limited functionality for now, but I think you might not be interested as topups through free through FPX or 7-Eleven (Cash) only and no card based topups for cashback rebates. Also, they suck in RM 26 per adopter unlike BigPay which gives away their card for free plus RM 10 for those signing up with reference codes. I am waiting for the Product Disclosure Sheet (PDS) to study their offers.

Lads and Laddies, reporting in that I finally received a BigPay scam call as I have been waiting for this for quite a while as some people in this thread for months.
I received a call from the number +1 615 241 6541 claiming that he's from BigPay and I have won RM 5,000, but first he mentioned that he needs a one time pin from me, he requested a one time pin then I wasted his time and gave him some random 6 digit number, he said did I read it properly, I said yes, he requested another one time pin and I gave a random 6 digit one time pin.
In the end, he was quite pissed and said, "Ok, kamu tak payah menang RM 5,000 itu "

QUOTE(waisang @ Apr 12 2023, 11:57 AM) Does anyone know what is the latest bigpay international currency conversion fees + network charges? Does BigPay charge A cross-border fee if you use your card overseas? Conversion charges = 1%, network charges are unknown. Though "Cross border fee" means the services/ server that you pay for is not in Malaysia but you are charged in Ringgit, example: Spotify/ Steam. BigPay does not charge a cross border fee

QUOTE(axxer @ Jun 10 2023, 12:27 AM) They're really going to charge rm20 fee per physical card request and replacement now. Lucky mine just renewed and posted to me for free last year, so 4 more years to use. After that will just dump the account and let it lapsed. I highly doubt that they will charge for card renewals upon its expiration, check the Product Disclosure Sheet just to be sure
