It happened to me too.. and you will be charged for that transaction. BigPay will top up your account tomorrow I think coz that's what happened to me last week. |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 29 2018, 09:53 PM) You can get XE rate via Paypal coz I get XE rate every time when I use PP to pay USD. Here are the steps:-1. Login to your Paypal account, then go to this link -> https://www.paypal.com/my/cgi-bin/webscr?cm...nding&buyer_hub 2. Then click "Conversion Option" link next to your BP card 3. Then select "Bill me in the currency listed on the seller's invoice." That's all! Suggest you do the same to all other cards too because PP conversion rate is quite high. |

I tried to search "Hong Kong" for Bigpay withdrawal but could not find any information. Does anyone has any info on where to withdraw and the fee?
I will post my findings here if no one tried using BP in HK. |

hi all, just got back from Hong Kong and I have no issues using BP at Disneyland (3 times) and Adidas Outlet (1 time) at Citigate. The exchange rate is almost the same as XE.com
No PIN is required to pay all 4 transactions. There was one instance I need to sign on the CC slip. |

I have just placed an order at Agoda. After reading some had problem using BigPay card so I use Paypal-linked BP (Agoda will charge in USD) and save some cents due to BigPay good exchange rate

QUOTE(Lingohal @ Oct 30 2018, 04:38 PM) I always look at price in MYR. So you are suggesting that it will be better to view price in local currency and pay in local currency with BP? When I am at checkout page, it shows the price in MYR. Once I chose PayPal, Agoda will automatically convert to USD. My PayPal will use BP by default and I have set so PayPal will not autoconvert foreign currency to MYR. After Agoda charged my BP via PayPal, the price shown in my BP app in MYR is actually slightly cheaper than the MUR price shown on Agoda price 😀Hmm... I will try that the next time. |

QUOTE(jessc111 @ Oct 31 2018, 08:53 PM) Just came back from Japan. Used bigpay thinking the exchange rate is equivalent to XE but got a shock this morning when the app prompted me that I have a negative balance in my account cos the settlement rate is different from the rate I saw when I use the card. The exchange rate is even higher than money changer. Good to use BigPay when transacting online in foreign currency. When I changed cash at Midvalley the rate was 37.245 and Bigpay settlement rate is 37.37!! Totally regretted it. Such a ripped off! I always think money changer rate is better than BigPay |

QUOTE(ChocChristy @ Oct 31 2018, 11:26 AM) hi, just double checking, when you say Paypal autoconvert, it's the part where you are at the payment page and it ask whether you want to use paypal rate or your credit card rate right? So just choose credit card rate for BP's rates to be applied? Thank you! My post earlierhttps://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry90103574 |
