I think he is there now

oh hi. Lets go japan laugh.gif

Anyway, I like to use the bigpay app especially the breakdown function, which really helpful to manage my spending(although I primary use this card for AA only, else put on drawer sweat.gif ) I think beside debit card, this prepaid card can teach youngster how to manage their money. And their exchange rate, almost similar to xe and google, which good.
Although it didn't have wave function, but its better like this so in case card got lost or stolen, the money inside pretty sure safe until owner lock the card nod.gif

Somfar using bg at Tokyo was breeze especially in bic camera, odaiba mall and mega (the souvenir shop). Bic camera didnt ask for pin and only shop in odaiba ask for the signature. There is one shop ask me to verified my card, and i just compare it with my passport and all set.

Queensbay Aeon mall. Declined..

Sometimes they using 'offline method', thus likely bp is declined. Just like my experience at nandos, their cc slip stat 'offline' instead of sale or something

So much for being part of Airasia when they themselves don't accept their own card.
*
not because of the brand itself, but prepaid/debit need online connection to verified as they using some called eletronic use only
Remember that there is no cellular line in the sky laugh.gif

"Double Swiping" is an action performed by a merchant where a second swipe of the payment card is performed at the POS cash register after authorization has been obtained using the card terminal provided by the Bank. All merchants are required to comply to the standards set by the payment card brands that "Double Swiping" is not allowed."

What is cashier swipes at POS first then only card terminal? also consider double swiping?
*
I also not sure. only like certain merchant do this . Mostly they record our card number. Some people I ask is because their POS and cc terminal not link, thus need to have some sort of 'record ' to do this

Even at Japan, my bigpay also swipe only. rarely use pin n pay

My father is one of the victim kena scam sweat.gif . the modus operandi is they call, they ask to click link and tadaa, your money gone like that. Even report to bigpay also no use as the scammer use p2p transfer (bigpay to bigpay) before transfer money to indonesia account. console.gif

Similar case for my brother but the first time, the scammer called with a Malaysian number. My brother cannot understand Malay well and he asked me to talk to the person. The scammer asked for the credit card number used previously. I found this is quite fishy and didn't give him.

I hang up the call and check BigPay app, the account is logged out from my brother's device. Relogging in and RM1000 is sent to a person called Amenuddin.

I freeze the card immediately from here.

Trying to contact the support but there is some issue and could get into chat.

I used my own BigPay to try to contact the support. It is working perfectly fine.

Quite suspicious for BigPay to not allow my brother to access customer support.

Your case is actually mcm my father kena. actually your bro 'did' accidentally give the TAC ( using link send or anything ) so the scammer manage to get access the apps

Person name Amenuddin also victim of scammer. after that, the transfer out money to Indonesia person.
