what u can do is use visa/mc linked to ur paypal to make local purchases that accept paypal. it will use up the paypal balance first and the extra will be charged to ur card.

Not top up as per winning desire -> I need to top up in order to get that maximum amount of cash back.

Also, I noticed some in here even mentioned that spending more after got BigPay.
This should not be the case. This is prepaid card. One should be able to control the expenses.

Since it's a brand new year, shouldn't all these be something to be pondered for.

I have always been an advocate for not using the "contactless" feature (a.k.a PayWave) cause it is a security NIGHTMARE. Stolen cards can still be used up to RM 250, I hope one day BNM will reduce the physical card contactless to RM 30 one day.

But in the modern day, security and convenience don't mix well. So what I do is always turn off or physically destroy the contactless feature by cutting the fine copper wires embedded inside the card with a razor.

The exception is, Samsung Pay, Maybank Pay or CIMB Pay.

Speaking of this, I had insufficient balance yesterday when I went shopping and I didn't bring the phone with BP app installed.

So I had to go back home to get that phone to proceed with topup

I've tried this and it doesn't work because my bigpay account is bind with my other phone number.

It doesn't allow me to login because the OTP code is sent to the other phone instead of my current phone.

Still can send money after contact access disallowed?
I also dont like my contacts shown on top ..

The reload will be made to the card that was used to make the purchase. Merchants would not entertain crediting back to a different card. You need to wait once Shopee execute the refund and then contact BP to move the credit to your new card.

I'd advise you to monitor the refund progress both @ Shopee and BP.
