Just as for Singapore MRT, the London underground now accepts contactless payment including visa and MC.... thus making the ezylink and oyster cards redundant....

If you continue to prefer to use your existing ezylink/oyster cards, then you can top them up at any machine using any acceptable cc....including BP MC.....

I thought using oyster card loaded with 7 day travel is cheaper as its unlimited? no ?

The daily cap works for contactless payment with cc/dc as well...if you use the same card for travels within one day, the maximum charged is the day ticket price, which varies depending on how many zones travelled... however, if you want the weekly pass, you will need to buy at the station office....

I see. Thanks. Does the cap include travelling within peak hours as well? Some of my travel time require early morning travel via tube.

I can answer this now myself too and the answer is yes. On top of that, BigPay Prepaid MasterCard also works flawlessly for buying train ticket in Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest rclxms.gif
Do note there is a SG$0.50 a week fee SMRT will charge to your card though. The fee however is charged once a week only regardless the number of times you use your contactless card to ride the MRT or bus in Singapore.
If you want to buy a travel pass, then yes. But I’m not sure if you need a physical pass to buy a travel pass though as I didn’t check. I was there for 8 days late last year and I already had 2 Oyster Cards that I bought during my first trip to London a few years ago. So I reloaded both Oysters Cards with 1-week travel pass.

Otherwise, your Underground fare will not exceed the maximum cap on zone fare for the day regardless of the times you ride on the Underground provided you pay using the same contratless card.
