QUOTE(Axell @ Oct 1 2021, 03:17 PM) So far issues with my car: Too many quality problem on Mazda. Car after 3 years understanding. But not even 1 year? Mazda will running same route of Jaguar. Good Luck with the purchase🤞🏿 1. Significant scratches on instrument cluster cover - My claim was rejected by Mazda, SA replaced it for me - Fixed 2. Air conditioner on front passenger side blow hot air when set to 25c, referred to Mazda Japan then SC changed the air conditioner controller, still the same. Compared with new car, is the same then SC concluded that it is normal - Fixed 3. Car jerking when slowly drive through a bump at 10~20kmph. SC relearn the auto transmission, so far there is no issue until today - Fixed 4. Clunking noise at the front, both front bush has been replaced - Fixed 5. Rattling noise: - Front dashboard (fixed but still there is minor noise) - Instrument cluster cover (I think because they replaced it before this it was fixed recently) - Driver side (ongoing but I might found the root cause) - Left rear passenger side (ongoing can't find the root cause yet) 6. Left front damper knocking noise, to change with a new damper - In progress About some of the abnormal noise, complained to SC and then they said it was fixed but actually not, so have to visit them frequently to investigate and remediate |

QUOTE(bkokyew @ Oct 1 2021, 10:16 PM) actually, for me some sound or noises are due to built issue. This is unavoidable and acceptable. I just enough said about this Mazda. Please do google mazda forum online in all continents then you will know. Oh……also please join Facebook Cx-5 groups. But what is not acceptable is alot major parts will spoil very fast. and need always bring the car go and repair and repair. |

QUOTE(KingArthurVI @ Dec 7 2021, 03:28 PM) Yeah it truly is one of those things that I'd rather prefer to have than not. If it works, then good (as in your case); if it doesn't, then too bad it's probably my bad anyway. Don’t say people do not warn you. Good luck 😊From various posts earlier I see that the current CX-5 lineup has its fair share of issues especially with the absorber/lower arm having noise and needing replacement, and also side mirrors. A bit scary also with the touchscreen issues |

QUOTE(KingArthurVI @ Dec 8 2021, 12:57 PM) The problem is that even >200k cars like GLC also have their own fair share of issues. It's rare to find a car where it's 100% problem-free. Maybe the Myvi and some Toyotas come close to it, but not sure which cars are truly worry-free in the range of 180k-300k LEXUS |

QUOTE(SkyX @ Jan 26 2022, 06:35 PM) 2018 2.2D owner here, just wanted to add a data point... bought the car since January 2019 and driven 115k km. Wow 🤩 . See more & more diesel blow gasket now. Legend has it. Only time will tell. 😂🤣🤣So 2 weeks ago I sent the car to Mazda 3S workshop for inspection as I experienced power loss after exiting toll and also noticed the temperature gauge is more than 100c at the time. A week later the workshop called me and said my engine has "bengkok" due to overheating and need a new engine replacement. Quoted price was 18k++. Did not agree to it outright and requested for HQ to replace it FOC. Today they called again and said HQ is willing to give a 25% discount I believe this is the infamous 2.2D head gasket failure and yet the workshop does not dare to admit it's a design issue with the engine. |

QUOTE(kb9288 @ Apr 11 2022, 11:59 AM) Hi all, I bet This is your first Accident happened. This practice have been long at any private repair shop. That why most people likely to go to his trustable repair shop rather insurance panel recommended. HQ highly unlikely do anything to the dealer because they don’t care. Is about you and the SA insurance claimed. Never trust the Mazda Salesperson.Need to seek advise here. CX5 owner. I met an accident and got rear ended by other vehicle. I sent in my car to car dealer (Not SC) and they sent to their own appointed workshop. Insurance claim for new set of rear bumper and reinforcement bar. However, issues come after 2 weeks collected car from the dealer. 1. Rear bumper color mismatch with body color. (around 70% match only). Knowing bumper and body different materials, will have bit difference, but mine one is totally wrong. 2. The bumper seems like still the old one, not replaced with new one. Cause found certain spots, looks alike the deformed part of the plastic trim after the accident, but they adjust to correct it back, not to perfection. 3. The paint job is shit. However, they offered to repaint. 4. All the bumper clips (wheel arch there), still marked with factory marking, looks like not tampered/dismantle (if got change to new bumper set). But the issues now I not sure whether they replaced new bumper for me or not. If they are not, they are cheating on me, as I am being told during insurance claim, they got claim for new bumper set. I have made appointment with SC for inspection. And requested claim report from the insurance to check the claimed items. P/S: I am not going to check with my SA, until I figure all this out. Because they surely will ask me to send my car back to them for fixing. The same issues will repeat. If end result is the old bumper, I am going to file complaint to HQ and screw this dealer!! Err. anyone with experience how to differentiate if the bumper is replaced? the factory marked clips can be as clue? thanks for input. |

QUOTE(kb9288 @ Apr 12 2022, 12:58 PM) Not the first. But the first for claiming 3rd party. Yes. Even if you complain about the warranty at HQ about the slow response of the dealer they also can't do anything. They just kick the ball around. Plus, the insurance claim is between you and the dealer agreement without HQ consent. Based on my knowledge PIAM doesn't care as long they approved the payment and the car had been repaired. That is why many repair shops practice this. You can complain at Tribunal. Good luckHQ won't do anything on dealer if found that cheating is done on the customer? If HQ won't entertain, PIAM will entertain? |

QUOTE(kb9288 @ Apr 13 2022, 09:38 AM) I see. Correct. The insurance company only cares about whose liability for the collision and also payment to be paid for the repair. They really don't care much about the authenticity of the original parts. Plus when you pick up the car after the repair is done, you signed the paperwork is what insurance care. You can try to complain about those first until unsuccessful, then you need to head to the tribunal. This is a time consuming process and that's why most shop know most people will not waste the time. Agreed that social media is another best option. Don't think to engage your own lawyer for this because the lawyer cost will cost more than what you claim for.so basically if Insurance, HQ, PIAM, doesn't care on my case, then the last resort is Tribunal already? But really insurance won't make any noise? since workshop overclaimed the required parts to be repair? Or they also under table money already? Actually I don't mind if they want to claim extra for their pocket money, but whatever promised to me was not delivered (new bumper), and I really can't accept this. If those legal channel doesn't work, social media is another options then. |
