I just took the delivery of my 2.0 high CX5 last month. I just went for the first 1000km service inspection with only 454km mileage. Today I notice my driver door got some kind of window sill springy noise like something is loose that I can't really pin point. The sound will be more obvious when driving on bumps or uneven road.

Anyone experience this weird noise? Just 1 month old car already got this kind of issue.  confused.gif

More noise to come. Prepare your leave form. SC only do repair & troubleshooting on weekdays. thumbup.gif

Thanks for recommendation. Yup contacted EML Auto Garage d, he told me he will only replace ATF w/o flushing or reset anything.

What worries me is i scare once change ATF, problem will arise because nobody knows what's the condition of my GB now. Mileage 100,384km as of today.
*
You still need to change transmission oil no matter what. Nothing is forever. Just do it after the warranty ends. Keep in mind never ever do the flushing. It's a scam. Most GB Slip is because Flushed. Experts recommend just replacing GB oil. GB work best in that condition. Stupid people think cleaning everything up will be the best. WRONG. The engine is designed to work best in brutal conditions. No need to reset anything. modern cars come with many sensors. the sensor will do their job better than a human being. that is why 1 car has more than 40 sensors.

yes, EML garage will not do flushing as the machine is expensive, to flush properly, you need to leave the car there for a day or more, imagine how much if any workshop is going to charge to perform this.

Coz to do it properly, you need to flush it slowly and not quick as it will damage the GB.

Overnight for GB Flushing doh.gif Overnight I can remove the engine and put it back 2 times. rclxms.gif

Missed another scenario. What about those that changed yet gb still goes bust?
*
No matter how good you taking care of your GB. Eventually one day it needs to rebuild because of milage use. You need to change oil no matter what. The longest without an oil change and no damage I have seen is 250K KM. The most car you took care of GB without rebuilding can last 400K KM. Modern synthetic oil is very powerful. The First Oil change is recommended after the warranty ends. When still under warranty don't touch it. You open the nut, and they check it. They know.

What do you mean 'after' the warranty ends? We have 3 years warranty, so your first oil change is after 3 years?
*
Yes. Whatever your warranty end. But if myself will just do it 80k-100K KM. Donโ€™t worry. Factory seal synthetic oil is better in quality.

I would do on every 40k km interval for ATF change. My other car where I purposely change it at 30k km interval, the atf looks dark
*
After first change then every after will better do it 30K KM. First you donโ€™t need to hurry. Factory dead seal the GB and the quality of oil is more superior than the one you buy outside even Mazda genuine one on market. You donโ€™t trust me. Ask any mechanic or BMW, Merc or Mazda Working Technician.

Guys, need help here. Lately, I got this warning comes up on my dashboard.
1. i-Stop system malfunction
2. Battery management system malfunction

I called up service center and they informed me that battery is weak and due for a change. They quoted me six hundred plus. Did anyone of you experience this when your car's battery becomes weak?

If it will be solved by changing a new battery, I might as well change it outside. Can save almost two hundred bucks. My worry is that it is not the actual problem.
*
Just go change outside. Why need to ask if 35% less. It's no void warranty change outside. The i-stop will reset itself after 25 minutes drive after the new battery. Mazda no longer using Varta. What you pay is Mazda own brand battery which is 95D23L. Go get outside 115D23L version

Thx bro, any recommended brand?
If it's battery problem, sure changing it outside. No point going back paying 6xx for their battery. Any recommendation?
My concern if it's not battery problem. That's why asking here if anyone else knows. If battery problem, sure there are others who encounter this before me. What brand you recommend?
*
Your car system already told you is a battery problem. wink.gif

1. i-Stop system malfunction
2. Battery management system malfunction

In the market for 115D23L mostly Varta, Century, Energizer, Bosch & ETC. I using Varta from German.

But if everything are the same, 99% the diesel engine will be affected. Do we have that number now?

Try compare how many was bought and how many was affected

Hi, would like to ask, anyone encounter front wheel knocking noise when passed through uneven road, and it is noticeable at passenger side.

Car year 2021, 2.0 High model. Mileage clocked about 12k, but already encounter this issues, quite disappointed with the build quality on a 150k-ish car.

Contacted HQ, but need appointment on weekdays to perform checking, which I don't have the time to do so. Hence asking members here if anyone encountered before, and mind to share the solutions.

*Just to get prepared before sent in the car for diagnosis.

Thank you.

Not doing much research buying a car will end up like this. Check this forum you will find the answer. You better save much annual leave as possible. More to come.

This CX5 really long lifespan. Their rival CRV already got new model coming in but US market are having 2023 Facelift version. I guess the new model arent coming anytime soon near to 2024.
*
Do you read news or not? Long lifespan? Itโ€™s discontinued. There are no more CX-5 in future dude. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ
Only CX-50 in future & Malaysia will not have it because too expensive for people here. Please go read the news.

Is the 2.5T reliable?

If you need to get a used car meaning you don't have enough cash. No need to ask for Diesel or Turbo because if anything happens you will not be willing to pay for a new engine because it will cost you as much as what you gonna pay now for the car. Just go get the decent petrol.
