I meant Heinze there. He arrived at Rome yesterday already  biggrin.gif

LOL yeah I misunderstood.

But to highlight one of your points, yes the 28ME agreement is very weird. Until the summer of 2013, there will only be 3 window transfers. I highly doubt Roma can cough up 28ME to blow off any of Barca interest during this period. So what's the purpose actually? Weird hmm.gif

simple answer they dont want repeat the dirty stuff they are doing now with cesc fab.

if this bojan kid makes the grade and raises enough eye brows at nou camp then you lot want him back.if not "you can keep him roma".i say roma should dish this shit all together.this is what they call a disrespect type of agreement.if it was an italian coach long already that contract will be torn up and in the bin.

kinda sad roma has been turned upside down like this.dibenneto, saviour or problem??this would be the main thing romanista's will be questioning during the season.

more downside the ups in this kid coming to roma.luxury loan deal the way i see it and the italains are the ones getting to get empty handed in the end of the day.another reason why i wanted an italian on the hot seat. wink.gif

Wow you seem very unpleased with current situation. Disrespecful agreement? I think it‘s just business. Spanish clubs have been doing it of late. Roma may be rewarded if Bojan score goals, and its not like Barca will pay lesser than Roma did. What I don‘t understand is the 28ME term. I do think 12ME is quite a generous sum, adding further 28ME on the other hand...

Dont quite understand the bold part. So how does this buy back part cost actually?
*
The buy back clause is set at 13ME which is valid until the summer of 2013. However Roma may cancel out that term if they add up another 28MEduring that period, so the total fee involved will become 40ME. Why need to add up another 28ME? Bojan at 40ME? biggrin.gif

Over-rated i guess,40M they can spend on other things but eventually end up Barca gonna take Bojan back for sure....zzzzzz
*
If he performs well at Roma, most probably he‘ll come back. I just can‘t see Roma coughing up another 28ME, however great Bojan turns out next season. I think a figure around 5-10 ME might be more reasonable. Not that I‘m unhappy with the deal though tongue.gif

QUOTE(air_mood @ Jul 23 2011, 03:26 PM)
I would guess this was done to get around the FFP rules. Records in Barca's financial records for this season will show an income of 12m Euros this season to offset against their spending.
*
That still doesn‘t explain the 28ME clause. Barca can‘t include that in their account balance.

QUOTE(Chrisky @ Jul 23 2011, 04:46 PM)
some reports claimed that we do not need to pay the 12mil. By the end of 2012/13 season, Barca HAVE to pay us 1mil (13mil minus 12mil) to get him back, n to block that we gonna dish out 28mil.
*
QUOTE(air_mood @ Jul 23 2011, 05:00 PM)
As I said, they can include the 12 million Euros in THIS YEAR'S account. Probably to balance the book a bit. They could have always made it a 2 year loan deal with an option to purchase for 28 million Euros. Like I said, it's probably a way around the FFP, like City getting that overblown stadium naming deal from Etihad, whose chairman is Sheikh Hamed, Sheikh Mansour's half brother.

And yes, the terms are that Barca have to buy him back for 13 million Euros in 2 years as it's an obligatory buy back but if Roma wants to keep him, they have to pay 28 million Euros, which makes this deal even weirder. Hence the comment about it effectively being a loan deal with Barca paying Roma 1 million Euros to take him and an option for Roma to buy him for 28 million Euros at the end of the loan period.
*
So it is essentially a loan deal then. A 2 year loan deal with purchasing options for 28ME? Now things have become clearer....

...except, that I don't think Roma had to pay only 28ME if they want to exercise the purchasing option. Either Roma pay the 12ME now or later, the deal will always be 12+28=40ME. Again I can't imagine Roma forking out 40ME on a single player. You really think Roma will spend that much if Bojan make the grade Chrisky? hmm.gif hmm.gif

In other words, Barca have asked Roma to babysit Bojan for 2 years with 1ME pay. I guess that's what mhyug was angry for eh? laugh.gif laugh.gif I think Bojan will perform good here. The thing about playing for Barcelona as a striker, the opposition defenses are always in bus parking setup. Perhaps playing against more open defense of Roma's opposition may do him good.

I don't actually. I honestly can't see the club to hav the ability to splash cash around like that in just a couple of years.

Exactly, and its pretty obvious. That's why I wonder, why even bother including the clause? laugh.gif

I watched the last 20 minutes of the Cagliari match. I've got opinions about match, but one thing stood out. I don't know the general sentiments in Rome right now, but it was nice to see fans in the stadium applauding the team after the match. Even though the team lost, they've acknowledge that their young team has indeed worked hard.

Oh and another thing, Pjanic certainly as Totti's replacement, no? rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

I managed to catch your game against Lecce. It was very entertaining. Lamela has WORLD CLASS written all over him. God he was amazing. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif Hopefully those milionnaires at PSG and Man City won't come knocking Roma's door at least another coupla years.

I FACEPALM when the ref cancelled Osvaldo's goal. I'm sure even the referee is ashamed of himself for cancelling out a delightful goal.

But for Bojan finishing..........

.......but he contributed well to the team's build up play.

Oh and I wonder Chrisky, have any big club made any official big offer for De Rossi in the pass? Real Madrid?
