Since unifi is providing free upgrade soon, i guess everyone is looking to upgrade their router to get the best possible result.

i recently got my a refurbished unit of ASUS RT-AC68U from taobao for around rm 300. delivery will take around 2 weeks to reach my doorstep.

https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....ns=1&abbucket=7

For those who cant read chinese (like me), i use google translate to help me during the payment process

A quick search at taobao also revealed asus rt-ac86u at around rm 500~

Anyone had experience buying this router from taobao can also share your experience here

hope this helps  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

Your unit of ASUS RT-AC68U from taobao can use for unifi? Your ISP profile option list have unifi option to choose?

Because i just ask the seller in taobao they reply me dont have unifi option in the ISP profile.

Without that option then we unable to connect UNIFI internet right ?

Oh, great. I thinking to get one also from the link you share because it cheaper a lot lol.

Since unifi going to turbo upgrade my 50mbps to 500mbps package soon.

For sure i need to change new router in order to support 500 speed.

Not sure TM Unifi will provide what type of router to support that speed and how much is the top up.

I dunno should i buy now first or wait.

Abit worried the quality since is refurbished, so you using now and running fine?

You pick 彩盒 95成新 ?

Nothing to do with Malaysian tax. Asus are selling it significantly cheaper in China to compete with other Chinese brand. They had no chance to compete if they are selling same price as they do worldwide.

Go to the IPTV tab, and select Unifi-Home. Read the manual here: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/...U_manual_v2.pdf, page 63.

Are you on wired or wireless? If you are on wireless and on 2.4GHz band, your 2.4GHz is probably congested or there is an interference. Get a wifi analyzer app on your Android phone or on the computer, I recommend Acrylic Wifi Analyzer. Connect on the 5GHz AC band and see if your download speed is still slow.

Try to update the driver for your wireless adapter. If that doesn’t work, see if your wireless adapter can go on 5GHz. If you can’t, get a USB wireless adapter that supports AC..
